Anybody else sort their pockets?

Yes, I sort my pocket!
I put my tools on the last row. Better chance of them not getting messy.
I find it a bit tedious moving things around so tools are the only things I will move

Oh yes, obsessively. Even within the categories you mentioned. If a tool breaks I try to craft a new one before I pick anything else up or ESPECIALLY before another tool breaks, because I get annoyed if my tools are not in a particular order in my inventory.

I feel hurt when I watch other people play and their pockets are a mess.

Plus, a lot of the times when I'm playing, I forget what I was doing, and looking at my pockets reminds me, so if they were disorganized, I don't know how I would function.

for me tools go into the top line , however , anything I may carry is just ordered randomly , even if I'm selling something , using something like furniture , flowers , it doesn't matter , it's completely random

I can't be bothered to anymore now that I don't have a stylus to quickly drag everything in place. Too tedious & too much time spent just for it to get messed up again anyway.

I have my tools arranged in my tool ring order, then my workbench, then some branches and iron so I can always quickly make new nets and rods!

I organize them somewhat. My tools are always the first items in my inventory, and I keep them in the same order. After that, whether or not I organize things depends on what I'm doing. If I'm doing my daily tree shaking, fossil digging, and rock hitting, then I usually don't bother to organize them as I go. If I'm specifically collecting something, such as star fragments, then I usually put them right after my tools and keep them organized by type. I'll also organize things that I'm selling/trading alphabetically in my inventory if I have a fair amount of stuff to sell.

I have to. I can't stand when my inventory is messy! I always keep my vaulting pole on the first slot and other tools next to it at the top.

Yes, but once I'm done my daily errands. I'll do tools, two stacks of sticks, and one stank of iron.
Anything I want to put in storage or check later I'll put on the bottom row.

Other than keeping my tools on top I don't really care. Sometimes I'll sort it so I can divide stuff to sell and stuff not to just so I don't actually sell something I intend to keep. Otherwise I don't.

Tools on top row...everything else below that. If I have items that are sellable (that I don't want to accidentally sell with other items), I'll move those to one spot or another. I also organize all of my 4 daily fossils to one corner so I can quickly donate them when I head to the museum.

Same deal with fish/bugs on the days that CJ or Flick are in town. I don't want to accidentally sell those to Nook with other random items...so I'll move those to one side or the other to avoid doing that (but only on the days when CJ or Flick are around. Normally I just have it all jumbled, because it doesn't matter.

my inventory is almost always full even though I'm constantly visiting my house to put it in my (also almost full, 1,600 space) storage or sell it in timmy and tommy's item box which I treat as a garbage bin
im probably you guys' worst nightmare

gahh are you and my hubby related? i hate trying to find anything in his pockets/bags... and he yells at me if i organize them(i did that once while he was off hunting for a week, and these were 10? 50+ slot bags for a game we both played), he complained he couldn't find anything.

tools at top in order of most-use, i have trouble with the ring(lack of dex in the left hand), but i can click left or right quickly enough since i know where they are in the pack. when fishing etc... high value bottom right. when building etc the stock goes right after the tools and then whatever i'm making with them. junk in the middle.

I semi-organise it most of the time. Usually just keep any tools up the top, stuff to sell in the middle, and things to keep down the bottom. I used to organise my pockets all the time in New Leaf, however I feel the the New Horizons version of organising pockets is a bit too tedious and clunky for me to do it thoroughly.

This, though I vary putting "keep" near tools with sell at the bottom and "sell" near the top.

Now that things auto-stack when you pick them I feel the need to open my pockets far less often, in addition to the lack of stylus being clunkier.

I'm mostly the same as you! Tools and customisation kits in the top, then materials in the second row (all wood together, then rocks, clay etc.)plus cherries for energy and stuff to sell on the bottom right!
Everything else goes in between but not usually sorted (though sometimes my fossils or stuff that I need together does)
