Any unpopular/ugly villagers that you personally like?

I can't stand any of the so-called (someone else's opinion ONLY) popular villagers.

I love ALL the Kangaroo's, who are somehow all at the bottom.

I'm an Aussie and they are my national animal.

One of the BEST designs in any AC game.

Amelia-T5 Snooty-just got her in my town and like her already.
Charlise-T6-Uchi-just got her recently and like her, also.
O'Hare-T4-Smug-had him a long time and like him a lot. I liked him from the beginning, also.

Sounds almost as if I like all my villagers right away, but it just ain't so. I have had a few that I disliked enough to "politely ask them to leave." I won't say who, but one of them was a VERY well-liked villager. I don't care if he is T1, I did not like him at all.

I agree that Charlise is very easy to like
I've always liked Amelia and Avery because they are based off birds found in Peru where I lived for a year (I plan to move back to live for another couple of years).
But I'd love to know which T1 villager you didn't like; there are a few I wouldn't let in my town either :p
I had Marshal but I had to let him go. He'll always be special to me but I do find his insane popularity to be a bit off putting.

Well, I was wrong, he is T2, not 1, I just looked it up. It isn't Marshall, though. I'm sorry, not trying to be secretive or mysterious, just don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. It's okay that we each have different likes and dislikes, right?

Yes, of course it's okay
I just didn't think it would hurt anyone's feelings if someone else didn't prefer the villager they did. It's just personal preference so I don't think you'll hurt anyone's feelings <3

I'll have to say Cashmere. I got to admit, that I actually hated her looks back then. But then somehow, I actually like her, the reason is unknown.

I have:
Tier 4 - Shari, Eugene, Scoot
Tier 5 - Claudia, Eunice, Hugh

Honestly, I think they are all awesome in their own unique ways. Shari has been an unlikely favorite. When she moved in, I disliked her. Mainly because she chose to move in right next to me. Ugh! I can't win. But since Day 1, she has constantly invited me over and has offered me her furniture. I've managed to get 2 Cabana series furniture from her already, which is pretty awesome. She does say sassy things, especially when I talk to her too much, but all in all a swell character. Even Claudia has grown on me.

I moved in Eunice via Amiibo card because I like all the sheep characters. She's a bit bland... can't say she's my favorite sheep out of all of them. But she's really sweet and kind. And I thought I'd hate all the pigs (don't think they're very cute), but I have come to really like Hugh. He's so cute! His personality is so laid back and I like that he calls me "snortle."

Even if they might not be favorites (like I wouldn't actively move them in with Amiibo cards), I keep them around because I'm hoping they will offer me some of their furniture lol.

I think maybe half of maybe villagers. Rodeo is definetly on the top list though and perhaps Mathilda.
I just actually checked and all my villagers are apparently very unliked. Only Muffy and kiki are on higher tiers than 4...all others are 4 and below. Yikes

Gorillas are scary though. I was contemplating getting peewee for a while but i just couldn?t . Violet Is scary, don?t get her.

Ahh I have Mathilda. I love their tiny joeys.

Mathilda is one of the coolest animals in the game.
I let her go because her house exterior is horrid. :(

Hmmm...so once I think about it, I like a lot of peeps from tiers 4 through 6...so this is a long list.

Alfonso - I thought he was so cute in the Animal Crossing Anime movie, loved him in Pocket Camp, and I love my lazies in general. :p
Boots - I think he's cute, and I love his Jester shirt. ^_^
Graham - He was one of my best buddies in my boyfriend's town.
Lucy - She was one of my starter villagers in my own town, and is super sweet.
Pippy - Thought she was funny ever since I saw this screenshot (even though I like Blathers!):

Nan - I think black goats are especially cute IRL too.
Tex - First met him in Pocket Camp, and became quite fond of him.
Agent S - I love the idea of a squirrel superhero. :)
Clay - I think his design looks really cool.
Camofrog - I won his cranky self over as a friend in my BF's town, and he pretty much won me over for good when he announced to me that "all us humans look alike to him".
Merry - She's in my boyfriend's town, and is really cute, and sometimes funny too.
Roald - I still can't believe he's a jock; he looks so chubby and round! :D
Roscoe - I got to like him a lot in Pocket Camp, and I was lucky enough to get him as one of my starters in New Leaf!
Cube - He was in my BF's town, and was adorable and funny. He moved out, and I miss him! :(
Hamphrey - I love that he is a cranky old man hamster - and looks it.
Pecan - She was one of my starters, and I think she's very elegant-looking.
Hazel - I can't help it; I love her unibrow and her catchphrase, and I had to buy her card.
Katt - She's in my BF's town as well, and was really cool and big-sisterly in general to me when I lived there.
Bill - A cute jock duck; he always invited me to his house and/or came over to my house to hang out. He was always cheerful and made me laugh.
Kid Cat - I always thought he looked more like a kitty version of Speed Racer than a regular old jock. [I guess I'm biased & love most of the cats since I'm a crazy cat lady anyhow...]
Cole - I think his buck-teeth are adorable. :p
Agnes - I first met her in Pocket Camp, and liked her so much I bought her card too.

The good thing about liking the less popular ones is their cards only cost me a buck or two each on Ebay.

I don't know who made up that popularity list, but tis bogus. O_o

So many people love the so-called unpopular ones, making them in fact, THE popular ones.

All of mine are #1 to me.
I like who I like.
I will never adhere to any 'popularity list'.

I'm with you there. Sylvia was my first Uchi.

The popularity list was originally (was supposed to) help others sell a certain villagers to others.

Then certain people who are obsessed with the 'popular' villagers (not the ones who genuinely love them), started harassing others who didn't have them and even started calling the 'low' tier villagers trash tier.. meaning if you have all 'low' tier villagers in your town, means it's trash to them ...
I don't think these type of people are still around like before, if they are then it's a very, very small group of them.

All my villagers are number one as well. Even though I have a Marshal, but I only like him because he's a squirrel.

Hazel is my best bro! I'd really like to have Charlise in my town too since she's my favorite uchi villager.

Seriously?
People got hassled? :(

It makes kids think they MUST have Marina (Yikes!) or one of the other creepy popular ones, so they end up with a town full of villagers they never really wanted.

PEER pressure.

They should do away with that list, IMHO.

I came from somewhere like that. Some would feel the need to profess their love for their fictional crush every damn 5 minutes.

I am a big fan of Boomer and Hazel, boomer was my starter villager in my first town and Hazel was my first fave uchi villager. Besides them I also am a big fan of Roscoe, Velma and Apollo

I didn't even know of his existence before Pocket Camp actually, but Raddle has quickly become one of my favs. I think the frogs in general are super cute because of how small they are, and I love his little face mask. I'm kinda surprised he isn't at least a little more popular given how prevalent the whole "creepy hospital/medical horror" theme is.

Roscoe has also grown on me, with his big spooky red eyes.
