Any Star Wars fans here? Anyone?

I happen to be a huge Star Wars nerd, but I don't think I'm the only one. So this thread is mainly for geek debates about the series or something. Anyway, I'll begin with a topic:

What do you think will be the topic of Star Wars VII?

I like the original Star Wars, but now that Disney has bought it (from what I've heard) and is planning to continue it I don't think I'll be watching it anymore.

Does this include Star Wars the Clone Wars? I like Star Wars the Clone Wars way more than Star Wars.

I'm hoping it'll be like Marvel Studios, and they'll have a good amount of freedom with the new films.
On the subject of the films I really want the Thrawn trilogy. In fact, just give me live action versions of all of Timothy Zahn's novels and I'll be happy.

I think that a new, original idea would be best. If this next movie is stupid, I'm not watching whatever sequels come next until Lucasfilm separates from Disney, which I don't think is going to happen any time soon.

And to answer your question, ACE, this is general Star Wars. You can bring up the Clone Wars if you want to.

My answers: For Star Wars definitely Darth Vader, and for Clone Wars definitely Anakin.

2)Ahsoka, her character really grew on me after a while, though there are some episodes where she's not written very well, but on the whole I like her

Most people say that Harry Potter was their gateway fandom, lol no, Star Wars was mine! I love how big the universe is, you can go back centuries in-universe to before the prequels or centuries after the original films, there's a part for everyone!

(I do harbour a tiny bit of resentment to the Clone Wars series, since it basically retconned Karen Traviss' Republic Commando novels and because of that she cancelled the final book in the series. I loved the novels as it showed the wars from the clones' perspective and it really showed the Jedi in a negative light (probably why they were retconned) and it really gave the clones deeper personalities. I recommend the series for clone fans!

I'm not really too sure what Disney are gonna do to Star Wars now they've got hold of it. Fingers crossed it won't be too much of a 'Disney' based story :3

I don't see why everyone is so against Disney. They're just about the best company to have bought Lucasfilm, they're more likely to make something good. Minus a few anomalies (Cars 2...) Pixar are still making really good films, Marvel Studios are still making good films. Also it has J. J. Abrams in charge, he knows his way around sci-fi.

Edit: Although be honest, anyone would be better than leaving it in the hands of Lucas himself.

Anyways, I think my overall favorite Star Wars character is Revan. He has a very interesting backstory and he knows the ways of both Jedi and Sith. In the Clone Wars series, Shaak Ti, Kit Fisto, and Plo Koon are all just too bad**s.

So far, A New Hope is my favourite one. Haven't seen Empire Strikes Back (for some apparent reason), but I did see Return of the Jedi at a friend's house.
