Any popular item sets that you just really dislike?

I hate the sloppy series! I don't know why but I just don't see the appeal and can not understand why people pay millions of bells for it >_<

The mermaid set. I've seen so many houses that I streetpass and it's always full of it.
Balloon Set and the Nintendo set are also not my cup of tea.

Can't stand the pave set. I like most of the Gracie stuff, but the wallpaper and floors are too busy for my taste. Really like the Princess one though.

I'm not a big fan of the Egg and Gracie series. I'm kind of neutral on all the others.

I used to like the Rococo set but after a while it just got really ugly. Same with Mermaid. It was pretty but then I got sick of it.

I have a love-hate with the Mermaid set, I sold my old one but I recently finished putting it all together again and now I'm trying to find ways to make it less ugly in a room.

I don't like the 7/11 set at all, except the buffet server.

I have no idea which sets are "popular" or "hated." I didn't know furniture ran the way of villagers on a scale of like or hate.

Well, I don't particularly hate any set - I'm just indifferent. I do like the Ice and Card sets the best, but only when the Card set has been customised to the Trump Set. I guess I do love the Alpine because I use a custom design on it and you can do so much with that if you have a tribute room for a beloved ancestor, which I do.

Honestly...I didn't know furniture was like the so-called "over-rated" or "under-rated" villagers! It's sort of funny. But I think you see so many Mermaid and Pave because they earn you HHA points and they are worth a lot of points if you choose a theme to get higher points.

So it isn't always a matter of "loving" a set - it can be a temporary thing to raise your HHA score.

Mine, either. But I think they are for the HHA points, probably. Lyle loves the "hard-to-find" items and sets. I'm pretty sure that's why so many Streetpass houses feature them.

The alpine, sweets and princess sets are ugly as all hell. I dont know how people like them. Except the kitchen cart. Thats cool.

Oh, I forgot the Patchwork Set. Altho when it's customised it's not too bad. It's sort of like the Kiddie Set. It's more palatable, imo, when it's customised to pastel.

The Alpine isn't great in and of itself, but it's ability to be customised makes me happy. I have an image of my late grandma's favourite flower on my set and that's why I love it. Otherwise...meh.

But Nintendo made a lot to try to please everybody. They can't please everybody so they made many sets. I'm actually very impressed with how many items they have for this one game. I'm almost beyond astounded. Even without Cyrus there would be lots to choose from. I never would have dreamed up the idea of having space heaters and breakers in my house! Lol!

I'm not a big fan of the Stripe series, Sleek Series, Robo Series or the Cabin Series. I'm pretty neutral about the others.

I kind of think that every set has it's own appeal and a couple items here and there I like.

Saying that the only item I like out of the sweets set is the music player. x:

I don't really like the Lovely set.. it's too much, man.
I also dislike the Pave set a bite (because it's weird or whatever)and the Balloon set (I tried collecting it all but I just stopped cuz I hated it), I think the Balloon set is the worst :/ I also HATE the Golden set!! It makes me feel like a narcissist!
I'm also starting to get sick of my Mermaid room.... I might replace it with the Modern Wood series (so quaint!)
