Any popular item sets that you just really dislike?

I don't actually bother with sets, and I just go with what I feel like putting in my house. I actually don't know of a "popular" set either, but if I did had to say a set, I would pick the Sloppy/Cardboard set, since so many people want it but it actually looks terrible.

I totally agree, I only have those for completionist sake and beacuse those are hard to come by.

I actually don't like the lovely series much anymore. I find it a bit gaudy. I can tolerate some pieces with the white/pink customization but otherwise I'm not a fan.
The Golden series is all right if it's not used with the wall/floor. The wall and floor is what really makes it bright and tough to look at.

My least favorite is the Harvest Set. I've moved that set around abunch of times and still don't like it. It's stuck in one of my towns houses until I figure out what to replace it with.

I don't mine the Pave set. I put mine in the basement for awhile. Added the fedora chair in front of the vanity.
I like that the set has room for pictures. Wish more of the furniture would hold more items.

My favorite is the Alpine Set. I love blue and green together. Added the Rose Sofa and a pink stool to the room.
I have the golden set in my main room for my hotel house. It's bright in that room.
In my other town I put it upstairs with abunch of perfect fruit. It's not bright in that room.
Most of the Sweet Items are nice. They should have picked a different wall and floor.

Princess, I've hated that set since Wild World. Oh and Mermaid is super fugly in my opinion I don't understand at all why it's so popular, I swear i've seen like 50 mermaid themed rooms by now and I'm really starting to get sick of it.

I agree with you about the golden series. It seems very gaudy. Also gold roses! I'd never want to grow them in my town...but to each their own.

The first time I played through New Leaf, I really despised the mermaid set. It looked too...busy. Also I'm not terrible into pastel colors. But for some reason with the newest town I've created, I've decided that I'd like to have a mermaid themed room in my house. I think for me, with sets that have a LOT going on I try to break it up by using a complimentary wall/floor from another set because HHA points be damned.

Pardon me, but would you like to maybe buy my almost-completed Mermaid set? I'm just missing like two things >.< It's taking up space in my closet and I'm sick of it.

I find the Pave, Golden, Balloon, and Cabana series to be pretty unappealing.

Really just balloon. It's so ugh. (unless of course it fits some theme you're going for, like a birthday party)
