Any good books you recommend?

I want to get back into reading over the summer. I'm game for almost any book, as long as it's interesting. I'll go for any genre, but I tend to stray away from horror/gross books.

Interested in:
Adventure
Fantasy
Historical
Mystery
Religious
Manga (?)
And pretty much everything except horror books.

So, any good books you guys would recommend I pick up over the summer?

*I just finished The Quotable Ben Franklin, and right now I'm reading, Poor Richards Almanac. I'm moving on to Common Sense later, but I don't know what to read after that.

It's a suspensful detective-like manga with a in-depth storyline. Some comical relief and stuff.
But if you don't pay attention you won't get ANYTHING.

It's kind of geared towards middle schoolers/ early high school, but you would still probably enjoy it.

Oh I heard 'The Book Thief' is also a good book. Narrated by death. Haven't read it though.

To me Charlie Bone always seemed like a rip off of Harry Potter.
