Any full proof way to move out villagers?

I’ve tried several different guides but no luck. Desperately need an open plot

Two ways:
Use an amiibo card and wait 3 days or TT
or
talk to all your villagers except the one you want to move. This is will take days if not weeks, so you may want to TT.

The only fool* proof way is using amiibos.

Someone else asked this question this morning, so I'll put here what I told them

I personally believe that as always, it's just random. Even villagers you're friends with will move when randomly selected by the game. I know others suggest being mean and ignoring, but I've yet to find evidence of that working in AC games

If you're a TT'er, just keep TT'ing day-by-day until they're thinking about moving.
