another thing i dont know if one of the updates fixed is the scorpion cant fully cross the plank bridge, gets right on it then hits an invisible wall and you can casually walk up and catch it. so if u have a plank bridge and one chases u, try to get to and across it if you can. the other bridges i dont know about except the stone bridge, it can get over those

Great tip! I used to have a plank bridge, but I think I replaced it. Maybe your tip will help someone else catch one of these sneaky guys, though

Any pier fish D: I am losing patience to dig up and craft bait so I kinda missed the big pier fish. I accidentally caught a cicada shell once but I think I must have sold it instead of donating it and now i can't find another one T-T

I'm caught up on everything at this point...but I struggled with a few. The worst offenders for me were the golden stag, giraffe stag, giant trevally, and cicada shell. To this day, I have still only found three cicada shells total. Absolutely ridiculous. Lol.

The golden stag is up there obviously, but I somehow can't get myself to catch a walking stick for some reason. They were fairly common in New Leaf but they seem to be rare in this game? I did manage to catch a barreleye fish back in March but I haven't managed to catch another one since then.

I had a huge problem with the ranchu goldfish, and the walking stick, giraffe stag, and golden stags were a pain to find, too.

I Got so many Bugs and fish in Store i had to stop worrying about collecting spare bugs/fish for models as i up to 150 or 140. So If i see them and i know i do not have 3 spare i get them. i waiting for those guys to show up more and i am still dropping off what i got in store.

It suck. I Had to stay up till 3am and on a Mystery island and move all the trees in a line and remove all the flower just to run side to side to wait for it to spawn and i was able to get one and spend a other day on a island just to hunt at one again. Funny thing is i was able to catch others odd twist in there.

I managed to find multiple giant stags before even seeing the scarab and just ran into the tree by accident. I'm cursed!

All 5 players have caught everything for August. I fish with no bait and Golden trout took the longest to get for 1 and stringfish for 3.
New Player 5 started on August 4th and found diving a long the shore helped with the giraffe and golden stag.
She got very lucky on 2 island tours and got the pier fish with no bait.

Currently those seem to be the scarab beetle and the ocean sunfish.
I was having trouble finding a cicada shell until yesterday.

I caught a scorpion once... I had to stop moving whenever they looked threatening. very simple actually tho it took like 2 minutes xd

i've caught it now, but the cicada shell took me twice as long than even the golden stag. i went to a mystery island 2 separate times just to try and get it.
