Any Bad Experiences with Online Multiplayer?

Hey guys!
Just wondering if anyone on here has ever had any bad experiences with multiplayer on AC:NL and if so what happened and what did you do?

tbh i haven't had any really bad experiences - the worst i've had is one time where i came across a bell beggar on club tortimer who called me a 'liya' when i said i didn't have any bells. in the end i didn't give them anything and just left.

at least now that the update's out, you can basically mute others on the island if they beg for bells or generally say something that's offensive/makes you uncomfortable/annoys you.

yeah I've never had a bad experience either. everyone I've traded with on this forum have been super!! I've heard about people being rude and annoying on CT but my years of owning ACNL I've never actually played on it lol :'D

I've had a few bad ones unfortunately, but overwhelmingly good! I used to run a cycling town and a shop, but I didn't realize that you are supposed to delete people off of your 3ds friend's list after a trade. Because of this, when I left my town open for other trades or friends to come over, people would just come in and run around-- Sometimes picking up the item I was selling (rude!) but the worst one was also... a little funny...? I was having a friend over for tours, but I needed to go shower, so I left her with my town. She was just going to fish etc. until I came back. The person I'd traded with the day before just came in, trampled a ton of my flowers, ran around my friend a bunch, wouldn't answer her in chat, and just left. People can be... interesting...?

Yeah, when I first started playing online some little punk came over after asking me to hang out with him. He took all my hybrids and kept begging me for bells. And I was a pushover back then so I gave them to him. I'm so stupid. -_-

There was this one time where some random person who was on my friendlist came over when I was trading with someone and they just wanted to see my town. Random but no harm done to my town since I was supervising then along the way.

i've had a lot of bad experiences
the beggars, the people who are just awkward, people who try to argue, etc
i only see little kids
also the people who ask to go to your town just to steal. they think i'm stupid

Ah I'd be so unhappy if someone ruined my town! I don't understand what people gain from it other than causing others misery, surely that isn't a gain though....
Thank you for letting me know that you're supposed to delete people after a trade I shall remember that one! Hopefully I have better experiences and I hope you all have better experiences too

I've had only a few bad experiences. Once I had my gates open and someone that I had met in my friend's town came and asked if she could go shopping. After she left, I found that she had been "shopping" for my flowers instead.
But that's really what made me start breeding flowers, to make up for the stolen ones. So it wasn't too bad.

Luckily, no. i always delete all of the friend codes that aren't trusted or if i dont know them very well. i've had a couple suspicious moments of people asking to come to my town to "look around" but i just stopped responding to those people because i get afraid. if you really want to see around my town then please just visit my dream address..

I haven't had too many bad experiences, other than beggars on CT islands. Though I do get a bit annoyed when people are constantly arriving then abruptly leaving the island because they are looking for specific shop items.

I suppose I might have been an annoyance once, visiting an open town on my friend list, uninvited. But it was chill, we glitched into the river, and I would never had stolen flowers or anything.

Not that I can remember. A couple of years ago I was playing online and this guy kept asking for bells, but I don't know if I experienced that myself or if I just heard it from someone else and fused it into my memories. I'm sure most people have an experience like that lol. I listen to my gut nowadays, so I don't trade with people if it doesn't feel right.

I am very lenient on who I let into my town, and tend to delete friend codes after trades so I don't get any unwanted visitors.
That being said, I have never had anything go wrong.
Recently all I have been opening my gates for though is to hang with friends or let them look through my shop, otherwise I have been giong to other towns for trades since mine is a mess

I try not to interact with people on CT anymore. Yeah, sometimes you run into funny people but a lot of the time I've found (what seems to be) young kids begging for bells or my clothes wtf. It really drives me nuts, so I stopped going to the island weeks ago.

As for other transactions, not really. I'm glad I haven't ran into anyone unpleasant, but I do think I've been really lax in some cases but fortunately the outcome wasn't bad. I've started to delete friend codes after trades, it's the safest thing to do.

Omg nothing on new leaf yet, but on Wild World back when you could multiplayer someone hacked my town and put a million town halls everywhere in my town. I was soooooooo upset. The worst part was they did it for fun...

I never had any bad experiences.. but sometimes I'll meet someone who desperately wants me to add them as a best friend, lol. It's cute and all, but I hate it when that happens xD (I seriously need to clear my friend's list out).

I belong to a group where we leave our gates opened for others to visit. Opened for high turnip retail prices and left a message on the board. Don't shake the trees. The town is new. A new person in the group arrived while I was on the phone. They ran pass my character that was standing in front of the train station. Checked one section of my trees and the person shook one side of my perfect fruit trees. Told them to give them back. After they left I check the other side and most of the trees were cleared. One tree was dead and it wasn't replaced. Removed them from my FC list.

Another one was take free items from the train station and event plaza. I put out enough perfect fruit baskets for a lot of visitors. A player dropped by and took most of the items and fruit while I was playing my other town. Removed them from my FC list.

Those are the only 2 problems I've had in the large group I belong to. Months before Christmas I left a full Snowboy Set and Full New Years Day Toy sets out to be cataloged on the beach. No one stole anything.
