I don't. I don't care if people do (one of my friends does, she doesn't use this forum though) but I don't because I don't want to risk the items or my save file.
I also don't care about buying duped items. It doesn't ruin the game for me and stuff is usually too expensive anyway.

I duped ONCE... I was for a friend to get a golden axe. Oh no, I hope the AC cops don't come get me...

But seriously, it'll probably never do again... Nothing against it, it's just VERY time consuming to do it right. :/

I know some people who dupe to help friends get rare stuff like the 7-11 set. That I don't mind so much. Many of us probably wouldn't have the 7-11 set if it wasn't for dupers. But people who dupe just to make crazy profits off of non-dupers is not cool imo.

As usual, I'm surprised this isn't locked. Why should we give a damn if someone dupes? If they prefer doing it, they can do it. It's like a Nuzlocke in Pokemon. Some people prefer it, some people dislike it.

I don't dupe. However, I have a few friends who do and they can at least give me what I've been craving but can't in any way afford, such as the 7-11 ABD.

If I had the gorgeous set, I would probably dupe it for my sister, but I think (as beebs said) duping constantly is going to ruin your AC experience and your reputation.

I don't like duping. I've played games where people do it, and it messes up the economy. I don't do it, as it isn't fair and doesn't contribute to the positive spirit of gameplay.

Meh. its an opinional thing. This is just me, but I don't give a (darn) about if people do it or not. But one thing I DO care about is seeding/ glithing other people's towns. In WW, I've heard countless horror stories about people coming to other's towns and ruining their game cards. Don't get me wrong, glithed my own town, but doing it to others... :/ Not cool.

Thankfully, it hasn't been an issue in NL (yet...)

Seeding and glitching ruin your game card. Cheating, nah. I cheat all the time in Pokemon.

If the duping glitch didn't exist, very few people would own the 7-11 set, and the price would be sky high. It's better that it exists, but sadly we aren't allowed to exploit glitching on TBT. Haters gonna hate, but duping is better in AC than in any other game. There's always new stuff to do because it has no end. Have all your Bells? Buy your dream villagers, Have your dreamies? Create the perfect themed town.

I don't because it would ruin the whole challenge of the game and make things boring. Also I'm too lazy to try.

I haven't, but I would probably try it if I had anything worth duping P: I get curious. Duping bells seems kind of silly to me since it's so easy to get millions out of the stalk market, but non-reorderable DLC from other regions would be near impossible to get without duping being a thing. No one would ever give up their only ones! Maybe not a popular opinion, but I actually find glitches to be really interesting? A lot of times they offer insight on how the game works, how it saves things, how it is organized and I don't mind taking advantage of that sometimes. I consider it an unintentional part of the game.

There's no challenge of AC unless it is a self set goal.

I would make a wall of text about the differences of glitching and cheating and all that crap, but when I try and defend someone, it normally spikes an arguement, which I don't prefer. Haters gonna hate but no one is leaving their side for the other.

If you like duping, cool. Keep at it.

If you like to play it right, great. Enjoy the beauty of AC.

If you don't care, excellent. You understand dupers and normal AC players alike.

The biggest thing I don't understand about duping is why dupe bells? It's really much faster to win in the Stalk Market if you can follow the trends that are clearly defined online now. Even if you're offering 100mil you may not get your Dreamie if they're extremely popular/not for sale.

I'm not sure why so many people want 7-11 items, but I assumed it was for its exclusivity/rarity. But then duping ruins the whole point.

It sucks what happened to Shiny Pokemon. It was amazing to find your own Shiny legitimately in-game, but now it's so saturated in every online fight/tournament ever, that no one cares anymore. You can trade a lvl1 Sparrow online for a Shiny lvl100 Lugia nowadays. Ugh.

Duping is a glitch, not a legitimate in game feature, because the developers did not intend it, Its not even in the same world as time traveling, which is a legitimate in game feature that the developers intended.

Exactly, Scrib! Glitches are something no one intended to do. Cheats are normally created by someone who entirely intended to create them using the computer or Action Replay.

But it's just so wrong. Can't you just earn your bells instead of duplicating them? Why don't you just play the game like how you should? That's how I see it.

I repeat, I do not dupe. I only support dupers.

So basically, you call someone's way of fun wrong. Playing the game like I should bores me. I time travel which makes me happy. You could literally make a Nuzlocke outta ACNL.

I don't take either side if duping or playing normally. You like the way you play, good. But don't criticise someone else's play. That the way I see it.

Duping may make some sets cheaper but it also makes villager prices skyrocket it seems... Because people have loads of money to throw away at auctions if they dupe compared to someone like me who makes a lot less money in the same amount of time.
