This was a literal Animal Crossing nightmare I just woke up from and its creepy me the eff out.
So you live in your town, however its more wide and theres an actual street through it... so its kinda set up like a neighborhood block. I definitely remember seeing Lopez in it, but there were others too. Whats also weird is that at times I viewed this as a top down look, like in Animal Crossing. Anyway so I kept walking around until I came to this abandoned house, something to do with some ginger-headed chick that didn't want me to go in. I explore it (bare in mind all of this from like, an animal crossing meets sims perspective) until I notice a blanket draped over the back of the couch... I look inside and see a hole with a monster in it (literally a hole just like you make with shovels in the game) he looks like the yellow guy from megaman complete with one red eye but also has horns. He tells me to be quiet and that i need to hide under the armchair next to his couch or otherwise he will eat me...
so then this happens for a while where people come in (some villagers some real people, switching from top down to 1st person view too) and they all inevitably get eaten while I cower under the armchair. Finally I am walking around while he is under the sofa and all of a sudden theres like 5 villagers inside the house and I run far away, I go into someones house after I see the monster come out from under the sofa, but I know I need to do something, this is my time to end this. So at one point I try to go back into the house, monster sees me (meanwhile all the animals are running with panicked looks on their face, like trapped in a pitfall but still running faces) I finally get to the guys sofa and look underneath it (with Lopez right behind me) and theres a hole.... this point I'm still looking down on my Animal Crossing avatar and I could feel the tension and like pressing A at the time to activate the opening to under the sofa. Then I remember feeling like I was moving the joystick to go towards the hole and me and Lopez made it.
It was way intense and then it cuts to me falling down this long hole (with Lopez pretty sure too) and its like a connected system of levels through ladders interspersed in this one giant pit. So I guess the dude had a pretty swanky crib underneath all this because it was huge and looked nice... I go though a black hole at the bottom finally and cut to credits. There was also a part after this about walking around like empty rooms with all the different carpet designs (although none really recognizable) but it was set up like a maze. I can't remember if that part was after or before the credits.
After credits it starts up at like the winning screen for Super Smash Bros with like a two player split screen and you can create a new avatar (but they were like skinny white with gyroid eyes and absolutely crazy hair, something blue and blonde afro, were the ones I saw) there was also a list of different colored and numbers of music notes (which I was assuming was for town tunes). The last thing I remember was thinking, oh this must be the start of Wild World and I woke up.
sorry this was so long! but I had to write about it as soon as I was awake....

A lot of my AC dreams involve my town getting deleted/messed up and me having to restart ^^;
