That could be true, but I'm sure there's a lot of places that have railways. I heard that Japan has a lot of subways and trains, and that's where Nintendo is, so it could have been based off of Japan as well.
That makes no sence.
Ok.
It rains, snows, has grass and trees. 2 levels. Let's call that top and bottom mountain. An ocean.
Animals and rocks and trains and ponds and fish, bugs, well. Everything basically in this game. It's California!
As for bugs and fish that are not native, we have Aquarians and sciance builds. We have it all.
SOLVED!
???? why Russia lol??? a lot of places in the world have extensive railway or subway systems? And since Nintendo is based in Japan if anything I'd think the towns in Animal Crossing would be based off Japanese towns...
though honestly, I don't think they're really referencing any specific country.
It's pretty blatantly based off of Japan. The trees look like cherry blossom trees in the spring, the seasons match Japanese seasons more closely (to include the fact that the beginning of summer is very rainy in NL, which it is in Japan), the holidays (Toy Day is on Christmas Eve, the day the Japanese actually celebrate Christmas, unlike North America), etc.
