I just thought of this question last night...rather randomly.

if they made an animal crossing live action movie with humans representing the villagers and NPC’s what actors would you choose?

I have to think about it before I answered my own question but I’m curious to see what other people say.

ABSOLUTELY NOT PLEASE NO
i don't want to see some random weirdo play my favorite villagers
especially raymond and marshal D:
a weird dude playing raymond? no thanks
a short guy playing marshal? n-o

and a full costume character would be weird
animated best

I'd prefer no live action movie. I wouldn't mind a CGi movie on the other hand. I feel like this would go down the bad path of the old Super Mario Bros. movie and that horrible Dragonball movie if they chose to go live-action.

A good concept in theory, but all I can think of was that awful rendition of Cats last year. As long as it's anything but that.

I did mean humans acting as humans just with the personalities of the villagers. I do realize make up and costume and would probably be a disaster

I would watch it if the villagers are CG.
Any live action of the villagers would be a mess.

guys it's just a hypothetical kjlsfdl nobody wants / expects a live action. the op just asked what actors do you think would fit the roles of some of the animal crossing characters? like, you could even go by just looks.

i think millie bobby brown would make a great fauna. >o< she's very pretty and refined, and looks so grown up despite how young she is.
& daisy ridley for mollie!!

This will be like “cats” but worse XD. Since this is just a what-if question though I guess I would pick Zoey Deschanel for Isabelle if she dyed her hair blonde, I think based on the characters she portrays in movies it might fit

sorry, i just cannot see it, even as CGI... there's just nothing really to make a movie with. there's a lot of great voice actors out there, but they need a story, and as we know from the personalities... one person running around clear cutting trees, mass harvesting bugs and fish, while getting the same 10 characters to repeat their lines over, and over again... the danny devito comment did make me snicker though.

First off, I wouldn't want this at all, like most people here. But it's a hilarious thought so:

Ezra Miller could be Julian.

Adam Sandler as Rodney.

Just cast Dobie as a random cute Japanese grandpa.

Thimothée Chamalamet or whatever his name is would be a smug villager for sure. Maybe Marshal?

Omg just cast the guy who plays Sheldon as Raymond lol

Maybe it could work if it was like Detective Pikachu, live action but animated characters apart from the human characters.
