Animal Crossing: Hard Core Mode v2.0

Welcome to Animal Crossing: Hard Core, a challenge originally invented by Chocofruit and Slammint, in collaboration with me, chees4mees! This is a unique way to play Animal Crossing once it's become a bit boring for you. AC:HC is a year long challenge with an added "boot camp" style.

What is AC:HC?
AC:HC is a year long challenge with added competitions and games to make it more of a competitive challenge. Some of the challenges could include house decorating, fishing, island tours, scavenger hunts, and more! If you would like to submit an idea for a challenge please PM me, Chocofruit or Slammint.

Rules​

• No time traveling
• No plot resetting
• No trading items from other towns
• No buying items from any animal crossing forums
• You do not have to start a new save file, you can start a new player on the same save.
• Start on January 1st

I will update this thread with the challenges for week one once some other people decide to participate. Each week, the challenges will be updated and winners will be announced as well as the prizes they received!​

It's just a fun challenge, I'll add sort of a challenge calendar each week so you can see what activities are planned. You just have to follow to rules, the challenges are optional.

Actually, as long as you start a new character, you dont have to restart.

Technically this is a new character, since this town and character was made on September 1st.

I think no plot resetting or TT is a good challenge, but isn't trading a main part of the game ? {I mean, none of you got any villagers off this forum ever?} Otherwise I think this is a really good idea

When I see this, it reminds me of RuneScape's Ironman mode which is basically a self sufficient account. No trading, etc.

I think it means items only, Dreamies and stuff is allowed. Just no trading Items or anything that can be cataloged.

Just wondering, how is this a hard core mode? I can't see anything hard core in it (of course the challenges aren't there yet, but still - thos eare optional).
