It's a no for me, but I wanna ask others and see if they have more luck than I do lol
But do you have friends that like animal crossing, other than online?

I am usually the outsider whipping out the DS in odd places to play when running errands and there's a long wait.
My bf typically doesn't care he sits there and plays monster hunter and ignores the world, but I always see people all in my face lol

My very few friends aren't interested in the game, or don't like gaming. and I'm at that age where making actual friends is more like a hassle half the time and this game is my escape.

am I the only one? lol

Got my parents into it when I started playing more, and then my brother.

No one else my age plays it though, but it's more of that they are more into "hardcore" gaming than cutesy nintendo stuff.

My boyfriend was actually the one that got me into it :D He doesn't play anymore, but I got my younger brother into it and he still plays. And I have one friend in real life that plays, too :3

yeah other friends are more into different kinds of games, which I still play but I mostly play this and maybe a couple of other games when I have the time to. I guess it's easier for me to play this game having a toddler than other games lol

Only the one, unless you count the kids in my family ;) they all love the 'adult' who plays animal crossing with them ;)
The friend I have in real life is actually somebody I've known since school, she's very much like me with gaming and loved WW, etc. Other than that it's only people who I know online :) not many of my friends are that much into gaming really, if they are it's more along the lines of GTA and that sort of thing. I just like most games :)

my aunt is the one who got me into it, obviously not a friend my age but i do know someone irl

I tried convincing my boyfriend to play with me but he only did for about 30 minutes then turned it off to play pokemon instead...

My now husband kinda got me into the game back when Wild World was first released. He played New Leaf with me for awhile, but after his original town corrupted, that kinda killed the joy for him. Even after I traveled to the far corners of the interwebs to get his villagers back.

But yeah, no one else I know IRL plays the game. Guess it helps that I have multiple copies and 3DSes to trade amongst myself. *shrug*

I got my two best friends to start playing. they're way behind because they just started, but it's nice to have them playing with me.

I'm at uni and a couple of my friends play animal crossing, but only the ones that are pretty into RPG/simulation style gaming anyway *shrugs*

i got 2 rl friends into animal crossing. one of them stopped playing after his favorites kept moving out, but he's learned a lot about the animal crossing series since then and i even watched the animal crossing movie with him at my house. the other still plays in infrequent bursts, though i still play more than she does.

i've met some people who like the game, but i've never actually played with them.

I'm the only person I know who plays new leaf, I used to have a couple of family members who played WW but yeah they kind of lost interest and are into the more 'hardcore' games now.

Sad story:

When doing amiibo card trades I've met quite a few men and women various ages who "have" an ACNL town...
But all of them don't play.
They all have towns in various states of abandonment. I hope that with the update some of them will play again!

It's been just shocking to know so many people who like AC but have left their towns on their 3DS for months or even Years.
Hopeful they'll play again!

My daughter, and sister used to play, but not so much anymore. I talked my sister in law into playing and she just wasn't into it. She sold me her copy for 20 bucks. I bought a copy for my daughter in law, but she only played for about a month. I give up. I guess I just have to accept the fact that I'm the only one in my family that truely loves ac. I especially wish that my husband would play with me, but that would never happen.

I'm reminded of those Saturn commercials in the 90's. It went a different kind of car company, a different kind of car. It's the same premise, a different kind of video game player, a different kind of video game! It's not for everyone even though everyone can play it, it takes someone who's willing to play this day after day after day, week after week after week for years, DECADES even!

Now, to answer the question, I did. In fact, I played with people locally on both Wild World and New Leaf. Wild World was in early-2007 when I knew a girl who worked at Circuit City (remember them?). We played together, and she was the first one ever to see my town. Sadly, we lost touch the following year when Circuit City was having financial problems- they let her among many others go. That's when I joined another Animal Crossing site, but then played with people I literally didn't know. In New Leaf I went to an anime convention in July, 2013, and hosted a few people who were all in an Animal Crossing meetup. It didn't last long, primarily just the length of the discussion, but in 2014 I went to a Japanese festival, and wouldn't you know it, there was a group of a few girls all gathered around playing New Leaf. Well, guess what game I ALWAYS have on me!! Heh, heh, I was able to join their little group, and made a couple friends through New Leaf. Sadly, most of those have moved on, just like Wild World it seems a lot will give it a year or 2 then move on.

I just got my brother into Wild World but he enjoys it but also not so much since he doesn't have a ''goal'' in the game ;;

My sister grew up with the series just like I did. I don't think she was as into it as I was, but I used to catch her playing online from time to time. Her excuse for no longer playing City Folk was that I played too much on it and she didn't wanna share the town. I remember filling her house with golden roses, because I had too many and nowhere to put them.
