Animal Crossing Community

I remember using ACC for wild world. My account is over 10 years old... I still remember guys like Johntown327 and was around when he stopped his giveaway.

It's been over 10 years since I joined the Animal Crossing Community, and I still use it to this day. When I first joined the website I remember having to donate $0.30 in order to create an account with them. Was this just me?

Having said that, the site itself is good enough for me to use. I quite like the outdated theme actually, it makes the site more unique. I'm not all that bothered about it not looking modern. :)

I've never even heard of them to be honest. I only recently began playing animal crossing again. ( before I played on the gamecube when i was like 10)

If you had to donate, your account isn't 10 years old. They added that feature to comply with COPPA in, like, 2011.

I never joined but I used look on there for Animal Crossign stuff. It seems very inactive over there and people are always fighting with each other on threads.

You just perfectly described the way the site is now. It wasn't like that when I first came across the site in 2010 but when I finally joined in 2013 it was like that and it hasn't changed.

I joined Animal Crossing Community back in mid-2009, simply because I was struggling to find high turnip prices in the now-defunct AXA Forums. I would gladly spend dozens of hours to buy a lot of hundreds batches of 100 turnips and selling them to another town.

The features exclusive to ACC were cute at best, but the UI there is far worse than just being as outdated as if it were to be permanently stuck in the bygone era of Windows XP, where Internet surfing with a smartphone was far from being a common practice. It's difficult to navigate through the website due of its ridiculously small standard font and its convoluted nature, but those aren't the biggest offender. That would go on the lack of the now-vital responsive interface. This alone is enough to turn off plenty of mobile users, as it requires zooming in and out and scroll both horizontally and vertically, if their screen resolution is lower than 640x480.

Interestingly, TBT does indeed adapt to any screen resolution upon loading it from a smartphone, but it just isn't responsive whenever the user flip the phone from vertical to horizontal. The default mobile interface is pretty bland and some features are missing, so I'm better off navigating via Desktop mode all the times.
