Animal crossing beta???

It seems like every nintendo game has a beta cartridge but no one talks about the animal crossing beta
I've always wondered if animal crossing had a beta/debug mode for testing it would be cool to see past designs of villagers/what the mayor would've looked like.

If anyone has unused music/concept art/a actual beta cartridge or just want to discuss this please post it below
