So I was looking on eBay Animal Crossing amiibo cards and I saw that a lot of them say unscanned on them in the description or the title. I was wondering why this makes a difference at all and if the card is more valuable unscanned and if there's like an effect if you scan it before selling it. I guess I'm really just wondering what's the difference between an unscanned in a scan card and why is there a price difference or that if it does anything to the card itself.
 
the NFC chip (which is what amiibo use to transfer data) will wear out eventually after enough uses, but if i recall correctly its only after like 10,000 lol so it doesn't matter too much amiibo in general aren't that old
 
Yeah, my understanding is that they will last a long long time!!
