Amiibo Villager Question?

If I decide I want to move in Nan by an amiibo card and kick out Hugh. Will Nan move into Hugh?s space? Or will it just be like a normal villager move in where it is a randomised placement?
Also does the boxing happen the same where Hugh will go into boxes before moving or will it be a quick change over thingy?
I haven?t played ACNL for a year so I?m trying to refresh my memory haha

Amiibo villagers will often move into the space left by the departing villager but not every time.You can plot reset just like any other villager move-in.Your outgoing villager will be in boxes as soon as you finish talking to your incoming villager.From then on it's just like a regular villager move-out.

Most villagers you move in with the Amiibo cards move into the same spot, but not every time, so you may have to plot reset for them to move into the spot you want. Also, the villager you decided to pick to move out will be in boxes as soon as you are done scanning in the villager you do want and pick the one who is going to move out.

Hey! As said above, they may not move into the same spot! In my cycle town they often don't. You can choose who you kick out so don't worry, it will be hugh. As soon as you scan in one of them to kick out the other, they will be in boxes that second so might I recommend putting hugh up for sale? That way you can make a little tbt or give him away to someone who wants him.
