Amiibo villager house glitch, still?

Last week I moved in Bill via Amiibo. Very glad to have the little guy, but his house still has Nana's exterior! I have Googled a lot, but the only context I could find for this glitch is that it happens when TT'ing to get an Amiibo villager in quicker. The thing is, I did not time travel during or after or before Bill's moving process and Nana's moving out process. I was wondering if anyone here has had the same problem? Literally the only reason I could think of for this glitch happening is that I did not have time to play on the day Bill moved in/was in boxes. Could this have caused the glitch?

Hopefully one of you knows the answer, and maybe how to fix it as well (though for the latter I fear I just have to first move out Bill and then have him move in again...).

To be honest, I assumed this glitch was already fixed with all the new patches, but apparently not :/

i have this glitch too, and my bf does as well, it's apparently a fairly common glitch... I don't think there's a way to fix it sadly, you'd probably have to move him out and see if it's fixed when you invite him again

That's exactly what caused the glitch. It happens if you don't play on the day that the plot is sold. It can happen to both TTers and non-TTers.

The only way to fix it is to have them move out and then have them move back in.

Aaahh, thanks for confirming this! Luckily I have some other Amiibos I will be able to use to fix this! Wish I had known this before, but at the time I still thought it would only happen if I TT'd.
