Amiibo question

Does anyone know if you scan an Amiibo and you already have someone in boxes do they default to taking that villager’s slot, or do they still ask you who you want to move out?

hmm I've heard that if you pick another villager and 2 villagers are in boxes at the same time glitches can happen
so you should be able to pick whoever you want but I wouldn't recommend it

hey I found the thread where I read it *here*
they asked about a normal campsite villager but someone in the comments replied with their amiibo experience

And the person has to have an open plot for their invite to be accepted right? Not someone in boxes?

do you mean if someone wants to adopt your villager in boxes? yep they need to have an open plot
