Scenario: Tomorrow I will have Midge in boxes, and I want to move Molly in via amiibo the same day. Will I still be able to kick out another villager that is not Midge, or will Molly take over her plot instead?

Amiibo + plot question

She should move in to Midge's spot. You have to invite an amiibo villager 3 times before they move in. SO if you start asking her today, she can say yes to moving in when the empty Midge plot is available.

I should have clarified, tomorrow will be the third day. So the plot won't be empty, but I have never amiibo'd someone in while I had someone in boxes before, so I'm not sure what would happen.
You will still be able to kick out another villager. If you do that, Midge's plot will just free up as an unsold plot and Molly will move into the plot for whoever you kick out.
