How much does it cost for all ACNL amiibo cards?
I'm asking because I might purchase them. But only if it's a reasonable price.

I saw a listing on Ebay a few years back for all cards, including the WA, Sanrio and the two specialty cards (KK and Isabelle). It went for around $500. I'm not sure what they go for nowadays.

Well, it's hard to tell, problem is that finding shops (both around your area and online) which still selling those cards for reasonable prices became difficult over time, it also depends in which country you live. If you look at eBay for example, you will find sometimes single cards getting sold for $20-50, if not even for over $100+, as some of them became quite rare or because of popularity. The Sanrio ones also seems to be the most expensive ones and it's kinda hard to find them these days. Overall, I would say you have to pay at least $1000+ if you want all 4 series + the one RV series and Sanrio cards, unless you find someone who sells their whole collection for a very good price.

If you don't care however if they are original or not, as you don't want them to collect but only want to use them to get villagers or items, there are also fan made amiibo cards that getting sold online on websites like etsy. They working just like the original ones and having a more reasonable price in general.

I wanna add onto this by saying that this is legit! It's probably going to cost you more to buy the cards on their own, rather than bundles on Ebay. But it all depends on the cards and the seller(s). I would try looking at bundles. I had a quick look on Ebay and there were some bundles listed there for like $300ish (CAD) but they didn't include the special cards like the WA or Sanrio. Judging by Ebay's listings, it doesn't seem too hard to find the original 4 series in full. Just the WA or Sanrio might cost you a bunch.

The cards' prices vary depending on the popularity of the villager and the demand for the card itself. Marshal can go for $15 to $20 on eBay, whereas Bud would only for about $1.50. But don't fall into the trap of $50+ cards. Those are ridiculous.

eBay is your best bet for getting the cards you need nowadays. I don't recommend paying $7:50+ for the original card packs. For as many as you'd have to buy, the risk of duplicates and time it would take to get every one would be a hassle. You can use eBay to buy card compilations called Lots- as well as stores that sell the cards individually. They're normally priced on there by their demand, rarity, and popularity, like I said. But be smart about how you go about it as you would with anything else.

This store is the one I have used in the past:

I'm talking about the first 4 series, not Sanrio/RV.
Also, I'm in England.

Here's an example of a listing: https://www.ebay.ca/itm/NEW-Animal-Crossing-Amiibo-Cards-Complete-Set-All-Series-1-4-001-400-US/113886944343?hash=item1a8430dc57&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&enc=AQAEAAADQKvsXIZtBqdkfsZsMtzFbFsbX3WcW5fmB%2Fx7ZbaZTyex9XTR6H81Mmve7PbRkN5vSFyfJjW%2F7wsyE7J78bpt1JWFhXpSA4KTymRyMMRHtMyCWlVPdKRoAtgrFQ4dkYSlkdIuLlynTwUKo0bJ3qOdc5vzVO%2BYum7O5ULLJZCU6KqAMiTXLl0GaoKjuuFxJMcmhqgekkrG4UCbiav1agI%2FNdoDyzFKmuE1oEYH%2FE%2F0b6KK3qjtTwDl5N%2F0Jm0TY4clBFjvNmkDQAAI5LWdH4Zc3q7kz1vCGwNjYN%2BLACuPJBAs28ZTqdySnIyJx0nhfQAJkZl7V5TwOiFIlhcPafB3Iw8OIAs4okzU1MsbZDjIc0MQfyqTrLHi3dUm05YfsgfVXMywEhhfIYMchDK9gxUjJJSK2P3ekChMKhC0xtK5qI1Z3ZmdYumgQNbrkZqEUp2OaHggT6V%2Bt%2FRWK7LYw8WrQxLFUB1CpmNCVUu58CZqcYp2QdUIxlVh0qb%2FGfV82ZmgibvdRcnr1OZy7XUqHpfeuQGwdSZhTKbYCmgJo4nXFb%2F%2FpSulkhZI4XGIyNuYkBiWQKCgT5ttmV8MsWXhGqmwxrbLz5%2FhfrVdB8hpnUu17LXa2shV7SIHtVaurTCvSLxOBMUIM705mmeT0kWKgEg3jvirez66F1oqvXq2N2eA0B5EPM8kXgBgEXx8jgGE3fXSmJ8sWgnxBpEiGxz%2FH%2BNDdmOSBhjyw873WqchJP%2B1NUz10b93XrasBjrhPB6F91RnYV2f%2BJrd8cVUhXrqUwdpuDR%2BLefcb2qAlOt%2BGeQnAMULk7bpEbWaN3cHYgWn1Yb%2F3%2BJ58ipvOniteBRWVLwDF%2FogppC1s%2FfRBgjyALeQIEP6bjP5mNHN0sqpNNgCmgAT8%2FnnxZZVaUtXjq9oWf38jDhCKEr8ZefMHOTmuWiAByn5RBgkY4l4FDsWZSxb%2F2LO5K5WOku5XKYdz7Vq7FiyBReBBN8dgZyFB2fJgHamD7IWi156Goqs56G0uYIP6zibA8uZpQ2RmFBgRcWY3nHDp%2FTfyThVWlkfQlUmn53m%2BVqhn0%2FyhON%2FToKhPFSqCzJF1lxmXF%2BNRSmV3COY3Kbc7uI%3D&checksum=11388694434385c03e680f8b491aa6349f30a627ec96

Yeah, I'm not spending that much...
Though I might buy a few of my faves so I can make a nice town.

I've seem them go for about $200 each on Ebay.

I have a legit Etoile Sanrio card that I was lucky enough to get on Ebay from France for $15 dollars.

I ended up buying a fan made Sanrio set from Etsy for around $40.

I literally spent hundreds completing the RV set (series five). Just the Deirdre card alone cost me $30.

Others I got for a couple of dollars, but most were around the $10 mark.

You just have to keep your eye out for a bargain, and don't limit your search to your own country.

Good luck :)

Okay. I also need a NFC Reader/Writer, too. My parents say they're low on money right now, plus I need a new computer, and probably a new phone...

That is a bit more expensive than it used to be. I think it started out around $30. I'm seeing new for $50, pre-owned for around $20.

Oh, that was built in to my 3ds xl when I still had one. :)

depending on where you are the ereader thingo shouldn't be too expensive, im in australia and i think i only paid $40 for a brand new one, however it was kind of a wasted purchase as i only ever bought one set of amiibo cards, so the only villagers to my name are whitney (wh i adore) ozzy and labelle. Ive considered buying some more but i've found they can be a bit pricey in Australia and my only hope is america and to wait out a months worth of shipping time. With what the others have said, be on the lookout and dont settle for super high prices, because as much as i want Purrl in my town, im not paying 40 AUD for her lol

Over her we got more than 3 cards per pack.

It completely depends. There are still a few places online that sell them at retail price. On ebay most unpopular cards are anywhere from 0.99 cents to a few dollars, but rarely more than $5. More popular cards can cost anywhere from a few dollars to like $50 which is a ripoff. English WA series cost the most, but you can sometimes find the Jpn WA set for much cheaper from Japanese sellers. Authentic Sanrio cards and the two Jpn promo cards(KK Slider/Isabelle CP cards) are ridiculously priced.

...Depending on where you live and if you can send things through the post or not, it might be cheaper to get a whole bunch of retail packs and trade the doubles you get with other people online. I completed my sets years ago, but that's what I did. It was much cheaper that way, and I was able to finish the second half of series 1 and 4 totally by trade.

As for the other series, I can't really give an accurate price for what I paid because the AC amiibo cards were very unpopular and cheap when I got them all. So I'm gonna estimate and say it cost around $200-$250 for me, but again that was years ago. In the present you're probably gonna need to pay 3 to 4 times that much to complete all sets.

From what I've seen they're quite expensive if you're planning on buying the whole collection of Animal Crossing amiibo cards, especially if they're official. I've seen fanmade cards go anywhere from $3-6 individually, depending on the popularity of said card and as a set they might go from $50-75 or $150 (again for the unofficial versions). Now if you're planning on buying the official versions a single card, depending on its popularity, can go anywhere from $3-12, not including the shipping costs and it's not guaranteed that they really are the official version either. Some cards are extremely rare and you might only find them at scalper prices, which in my opinion, isn't worth it. I'd sooner learn to hack the game than feed a scalper. If you buy an official set, prices may be anywhere from $70-250 and I've seen some at $400 even. I don't think any DLC should cost you as much as buying a home console, but that's just me.

Back in the days, if I recall correctly, they sold for like $5,99 CAD in my local Toys R Us, EB Games, etc. That was a fair price considering we had 6 cards per pack.
