Amazing luck

Last night I was jumping from islands trying to find a dreamie, didn't do a lot but I only had 1.5hrs to play.
My wife came and asked how I am doing and I told her I was having no luck and basically said one more island and that is it for me.
Defeated at this point and thinking it's slim for me to get a dreamie... BEHOLD WHITNEY APPEARS ON A SCORPION ISLAND! Spent the next 30min catching scorpions as well... way past my bed time.

My night was made.

Congrats!!! I've had some crazy luck with the islands too. I have 3 favourite villagers: ultimate is Chief and then Mitzi followed by Zell. Was trying to buy their amiibos prior to the game's release I managed to get Chief off someone but no luck with the others. My cousin ended up getting Mitzi so I was secretly hoping she'd give her to me at some point then I managed to find both Zell and Mitzi on the islands ^^

Zell showed up on the 3rd island I tried one day but Mitzi, god she took forever. I wanna say I went to 30 islands same day before finding her. The 1st 10 or so had really cute villagers like Marina, Merengue, Zucker but I was adamant on only inviting one's I had personal connections to lol. The other 20 made me seriously regret not inviting Marina and then Mitzi showed up. Could've cried. Absolutely worth it. (Zell was 8th villager but Mitzi was 10th and I was really holding out for a favourite when I was looking for 10th since it'd be a while before someone moved out and I could go looking again)

Woah you've had some pretty good luck so far! I feel actually finding them on an Island feels much more amazing then buying them off someone. It's that satisfaction you get and sigh of relief that you found a village you want.

Completely agree! There's a special feeling when you see one of your favourites on an island especially considering there's around 400 villagers in the game. Like it was meant to be!

Sadly this is lost on so many people these days. Everything is just instant gratification now.

I have Whitney’s card, but my goal is to find her naturally as well—hoping I’ll be as lucky as you were.

Also, I’m sure she appreciated being rescued from the scorpions!! Your Island will hopefully be more habitable haha
