I have three towns and now i really want another.I'm afraid it's becoming an addiction.I mean, if i have 4 will i eventually get 5, then 6 and so on?

My problem is i love decorating.I like to come up with room ideas that are unique. My museum rooms are decorated too.I would like to reset one of my towns, but i love them all.I would feel like i was destroying art.

I know there are others that have more than one copy too.Does anyone else feel this way? Should i go ahead and buy another copy? Should one town be destroyed and started over? I would like to hear your opinions. Thanks so much.

Hmmm, maybe a little obsessed :) I have three towns, two I use and one for cycling. I don't think I need anymore, lol. Sometimes I find starting things over ends up being better than expected because everything is all new. I quickly forget about the old. Don't do that if you're sure you'll regret it though :)

If you are certain you do not want to restart then go ahead, I don't know how hard it would be to keep up with all of them or anything, but if it's what you really want, go for it. I understand what you mean about liking to decorate and all, it's fun to get that sense of starting from the bottom and building your way up with all kinds of new ideas.

If you think you have enough extra money and time (aka not pushing away friends and obligations for the videogame) to do so, then you should get another copy. I enjoy seeing your different towns. :)

Totally agree! I enjoy dreaming about all three of your towns, you're so creative! And if you've got more ideas, then why stop? It's your money and your time, and if you're enjoying yourself then just go for it!! ^_^

I have 3 towns, and had been considering getting a 4th one. So I don't see anything wrong with it.

Especially since the game isn't brand new anymore. You could easily pick up a used copy for cheap, probably $20 or less.

$20 is not much at all for something that brings you joy and lets you exercise your (really impressive) creativity and decorating skills, in my opinion. In comparison to other things that may be entertaining, the time you can get out of a single new game is really impressive.

For instance, $20 is like, one and a half movie tickets. Or two cheap meals out with friends. Or 1/3 to 2/3 of a concert ticket.

Let's say it takes you 300 hours to make a complete themed town. (I don't know how long it really takes, so this is a terrible guess.) That's what, 6.66 cents per hour? Not bad for quality entertainment.

Thanks for your comments. It's all very helpful.

Trickylicky and mega-cabbage.Your comments about my towns made me happy. Thanks so much.

I think i will wait a few weeks and see how i feel.If i still have the urge to buy a copy, then i'll go ahead and get one.The physical copy is a bit under 25.00 on amazon right now.I spend more than that when taking my family out to dinner. We can just eat at home for a few weeks.

Xanarcah-I just read your post. You have a point there, and this game does make me very happy. It's relaxing to play after a long work day.And 20 bucks really isn't that much.

Yes. You're a danger to yourself and others and should check yourself into a medical facility right away.

Lol.You kid, but i can picture myself with a huge collection of new leaf games sitting in my game cabinet, all with labels on them. And if my husband seen them, he would put me in the hospital for evaluation.lol.

You're not crazy. You're just...obsessed. That's it! Being obsessed is not always a bad thing. If I were you, I would go ahead and get another town! :)

By the way, I have visited one of your dream towns before, and I instantly fell in love with it! :) You seem like a very creative person.

I've definitely saved money in the long run I think, more tempted to stay in and play than spend a load of cash on cinema/eating out/shopping like I used to on my weekends off ;-) lol! Good plan to wait a few and see how you feel, no sense in rushing if you're undecided. If you do decide to go for it, then good luck, and I'm kind of excited to see what ideas you've got up your sleeve for a new town :-D

I only think that you should stop buying copies of ACNL if you're getting too addicted to the game (like, being too dependant on it and prioritizing it over everything else). As long as it's a healthy admiration of the game, I think you should buy as many as you want. :)

Thanks everyone.I do think i'm a bit obsessed, because i go to sleep thinking about how i want to decorate, but it doesn't get in the way of everyday life.I still do other things and i take breaks here and there. They usually only last a few days though, because i start missing it.

I have been thinking of how i will decorate my new town, but i haven't decided yet.I have never tried to get certain villagers.I just take what the game gives me.If i buy another copy, i think i want an all bear town. They are just so precious.lol.

nawww! you just like the game lots!
i've got 2 towns, it brings me joy in my spare time and i can afford it so whatever!
i went to get coffee cream an hour ago and was so tempted to buy a third copy as they sell acnl at the store i buy it from, but i had to hold myself back as i JUST started a second town!

It's fine, if anyone gives you a hard time, tell them it's better then begin addicted to alcohol. :)

I think you have an obsession, I'm surprised you even have that much time! I have 2 towns myself and its hard :P

I won't deny that it's an obsession, but i don't play all three towns everyday.I just took a break from Farmland a couple of days ago, and i haven't played Critters in a few weeks. As for having time, i am able to work over 40 hours a week.Keep my house clean, cook dinner, and take care of my family. Not to mention cleaning up after and caring for the 3 dogs and a cat.I am super women.lol.But i understand you having a hard time keeping up with two towns. My daughter is very busy, and she would not be able to keep up with more than one town either.

Wow Im impressed! Keep playing if that's what makes you happy C:

At least it's not drugs! XD

But you guys are really lucky. In the retail shops in New Zealand, Animal Crossing still goes for around $60-$75.
I had to buy mine online because it was way cheaper...around $50. I'm still wondering how I got a second copy :/

well, its not crazy, several people on this site have several towns, i just have one. but the more games you get, the more time is used up and the harder it is to get things done, so maybe you should stick with 3 :)
