Does anyone know if you let your alt character work for Brewster, and your own villagers drop in.. Will they start pinging my alt, or talking about them?

I absolutely DO NOT want my alt to ever speak to my villagers, and vice versa.

It has been BLISS playing as my alt.
Never get pinged, or the constant barging in.

I can walk around with items and a ton of bells and never get hassled.

So.... if anyone with an alt has had them work for Brewster, did they start talking and pinging them?

I believe most of us have their alts talk to the villagers, so it's hard to tell... but once I hadn't spoken to a certain villager yet in that day and they went to Brewster's and I served them, and later on the day when I came to speak to them they said "hello again". So that miiight indicate that it'd count as talking and they could be pinged later. You can always ignore the pings, I guess.

Thank you CC!
That saved me from making a big mistake!

Tis blissful never being pinged or barged in on.
Plus my female alt (Daenerys) runs the tavern in Westeros, in a house I've actually made look like something from GoT. ^_^

I also have a mute alt, mostly for storage. No idea. Might make a third one to talk to my dudes and try to get the birthday glasses, then delete him. I don't know if they would bring up a deleted character in a conversation with my main.

I totally relate and understand your question Jon.

Do they talk about my alts? They have not yet.

All of my data has shown - of the alts that have worked in Brewster?s they have not spoken about them to me.

I only have my data on this. Only my experience. Almost all of my alts do not talk to my villagers except one of them because the villagers kept trespassing onto his farm land! And he works in the cafe. Yet he still hasn?t been asked about... maybe because he hasn?t talked to anyone at his farm in about 6 months now but still works in the cafe.

I will do more experiments on this soon - I want answers too from other mayors!

Thank you Honey! ^_^

I am really enjoying the game!
I can't stress enough how liberating it is, to not be the town slave.

I wish the animals were optional, as the game is PERFECT without them!

My poor alt spent half the night digging out an absurd amount of flower drops.

35 within an hour. :(

I would have to disagree with your town being perfect without your animals since it is called "Animal Crossing" after all.

But you're right. Having alts that ignore all the anthropomorphic animals walking around is quite a treat compared to the neediness our mayors need to put up with

I know it's an animal game, but honestly, as an animal activist myself, and cat lover, I hate to see that some of the worst human traits have been dumped onto these NPC's.

Animals aren't that pathetic and needy/greedy.

I said I wish they were optional, because they make me dislike them, and that's difficult, as they are meant to be animals, animals that in RL, I love, and fight for.

To see them portrayed this way makes me physically sick at times.

But... ignoring 'them'.. and designing a town, watching everything I planted, grow... well, it's awesome.

I've been playing since WW, 2005, but back then, the neighbors as they were called then, not 'villagers', were actually amusing, and endearing.

The NL animals, Miserabelle (Isabelle) especially, truly make me frustrated.
BEYOND frustrated..

I don't like the way they make me feel.

Like an angry person, and angry towards NPC's that are as far removed from real animals as they could possibly be, and basically clones of the seven deadly sins. O_O

Sloth, greed, gluttony.
Yep. That's my villagers.

So when I say I wish they were optional, that might make sense to you now.

Deep down I don't 'hate' them.
I MISS them. The way they were in WW.

Wolfgang has always been a living caricature of my beloved german shepherd who died many years ago... and seeing NL strip him of his WW mojo, makes me sad.

Rant over.

Ok. I feel better now. ^_^
