I love this song, since the first week it came out. Very few people I know listened to it at the time. Suddenly, 2 months later it skyrockets in popularity. Any idea why?

Its a good song so who cares if it's popular now rather than earlier.
What I think is silly is the fact that the song was supposedly written for "bigger people" specifically girls...and in the music video none of the girls are really "big".
Love the song though.

Love the song though.

I don't think it's only for bigger people... for example, this lyric shows that she thinks that everyone of different sizes are perfect:

"Go ahead and tell them skinny b***es that
No I'm just playing. I know you think you're fat
But I'm here to tell ya
Every inch of you is perfect from the bottom to the top"

good message, i'm just not really into the song! idk why the popularity boosted though!

Catchy song.
Treble is nice, too. It can carry a melody just as good, maybe even better than the bass. The bass is richer, though. It's all about personal preference.
And yeah, if I was asked to be in that music video as a "representative for the larger ladies!" then I would be pretty offended. Those girls aren't fat at all.

Don't like the song personally.

For me to like the song and the message, it would've required her to focus more on the "everyone looks great" and less on the "Hey, I'm plump and I'm awesome". But that kind of song/message isn't going to get as much popularity as a song glorifying curvyness, so I understand why the singer did it. Either way, the song wasn't my cup of tea ^.^

One of my favourite songs of all time!

Haha, I like saying the part "All the right junk in all the right places" in a Jamaican accent xD

don't like one bit of the songs message, but i find it catchy
i personally think that she is being sarcastic when she says "nah just playin', every inch of you is perfect from the bottom to the top" like, "ah your skinny, and thats what society likes, so your perfect bascially ^U ^''"

but um, it makes people happy i guess, so hides

i honestly think the song is hypocritical and body shames naturally skinny girls, so i actually dislike the song...a lot.

It has a pretty music video and the song's pretty decent, musically-wise.

Poor attempt at trying to be an inspiring song though, it's just mehhhhh. Not sure why people get so offended, I feel that it's only popular because it features women with a body size that is not typically considered "ideal".

i like it kinda i mean its catchy
the lyrics dont bother me at all and i like what its trying to convey

My neighbor plays bass guitar almost all the time. You can hear it everywhere around the house and aits like the same three notes over and over and over and over and over...

Technically the musical aspects of the lyrics don't make any sense because you cannot have only bass represented in a song or it would sound like a low pitched hum the whole time. Most of what people think is bass is actually the midrange of the frequency spectrum, and treble is equally as essential. If someone wants to hear an example of the song without any treble I can make that happen.
