Airport security controversy

I've heard about this on the news, in the Bee, etc. and I'm surprised there isn't already a topic about it.

Last night, my family went out to dinner and while we were in the car my brother asked why we weren't flying to Canada this year, and my father said it was mainly because of TSA's strictness.

And this morning in the paper there was an article about it... and one of the pictures showed a TSA scanner with his hand down a man's pants. EWW.

Any thoughts on this?

Also, does any internal medal show up? I have this thingy in the back of my mouth for correcting an underbite (after the retainer) and I don't know ifthat would show up on the scanning technology.
