Aika Village symbolism and backstory

It isn't really scary until you get into the theory side of things, IMO.

it's not scary just really unsettling
like i love horror movies and books and blood/gore/jumpscares don't bother me at all
maybe it's just that animal crossing is something i have always associated with my childhood and happiness and stuff and it's a total juxtaposition
I FEEL UNEASY

Hypno K.K. was a good song, until Aika village turned it into some horror song. It existed as a fake song in City Folk I think.

When you type in a song that doesn't exist, a random fake song will play. In NL there are 3 different fake songs.

Heres my theroy

Some japanese guy/girl wanted to be "scary" so they made a town like this

What makes my theroy even scarier is that its true

my theory:
it doesnt have any actual symbolism and its just trying to be creepy

go again and when you get to the room where all the toys are facing the wall turn the camera angle around

Didn't the creator of Aika get interviewed about it and had some vague answers about what happened? It's intentionally left up to interpretation of who did what.

Another interesting thing that I haven't seen mentioned here yet is that when you talk to all of the Aikas, the first one says "I love my mom" perfectly fine, the second one says the same but there's different set of characters for some of the symbols so it makes it awkward, the third is hesitating to say "love", and the last is just gibberish. Most can probably agree that it's because her mind is deteriorating in some way.
