After you sell your town to Nook. Will you be able to manipulate your map layout, or will the game pick out a map layout and you can't do nothing about it.

I hear some say you can't do nothing about picking your town map and go with the town map you got. But I wanna be sure, because I wanna do it too. Thanks.

what does your selling your town even do?
You can sell it for a lot of bells. (It varies on how many PWPS, house expansions, etc you put in with your own bells. I'm pretty sure) You can even sell your own catalog in the T&T Store.

If you sell it, it will all be transferred to your new town.

what does your selling your town even do?

Because of the New Amiibo Update, if your town is old enough, Nook will appear and give you millions of bells for your town so you can start new. The bells he give you will transfer over to your new town via the ABD machine.

Let me help you out here, 'cause I was there when my bf sold his town.

Okay, so after you sell your town, you're on the train with Rover and you get to go through the new town process, selecting from 4 or 5 maps, and choosing a new face and name. And if you don't like those maps, you can always map reset, granted that you have to sell your town again. But anyways, after you sell your town and start your new town, you have all that money from selling your previous town in your ABD, your catalog (if you didn't sell it), and all the PWPs you've unlocked (minus the cafe, renovations, and main street buildings). So now you have a new town, a new character, your catalog (again, if you didn't sell it), and all your PWPs.

Hope this helps!
