advise getting hybrids

My town is unfortanatly deleted. No idea why..
Buttttt. In my town I had a lot of hybrids that I bought.
But because my town is gone I have no bells to buy them so I am gonna breed them by myself.
Anybody that can help me?
The title is weird But i dont know how to change it. xd
Do i have to plant flowers diagonally or next to eachother?

Sorry to hear about your town, did it get corrupted? Your best bet is to plant your flowers diagonally with fertilizer and make sure to water them daily.

Hi, my tip is simple, never fails. Plant 2x2 = 4 in a square. Diagonal or fertilizer is rubbish. I use my beach as there is plenty of space.
Next tip is only water one type/coulour of flower you want to grow. Say you chose black roses, only water black roses on that day and watch them grow.

ps: oh yeh, if you don't have 4 of the same flower just plant in pairs, really that simple.

I read somewhere you should put them like the 5 on a dice?

if you got a bunch but only want more of one kind, water that one kind for the day. should help. idek about diagonal but i did it and it worked for me.

E: by 2x2, i think they meant:

[X][X]
[X][X] [X]=flower

and i suppose the diagonal like the 5 on a die

[X]---[X]
---[X]
[X]---[X] (ignore the ---, doesnt allow for multiple spaces)

could work.

I've had really good success with planting mine in the same pattern (where the X is a flower you want to grow and fertilizer can go in the spaces):

X___X
__X__
X___X

And you can tile it to cover a space as large as you want! And like the others said, only water the ones you want to grow daily. Just make sure you water something because if you don't, there's a higher spawn rate for the random regular flowers.

Sorry to hear about your town though! If you need any fruits or anything to get you started, just let me know. What kind of hybrids are you trying for? I'll see if I have a few to get you started!

you can get a free watering can if you speak with isabelle in the town hall and listen to her advice. once her little tutorial is over, she'll give you a watering can as a gift for free
