I've been getting random pop up ads ONLYYYYYY on tbt. Every couple of pages/refreshes I get one.

As far as I know tbt doesn't run ads, so I don't think the problem is related to tbt
It's possible you've downloaded a browser add on that enables ad pop ups. Have you downloaded any add ons to Firefox recently? And do you get add pop ups if you use tbt on a different browser?

You almost certainly have a virus.
Has experience that using dad's laptop. Probably your parents download a software with ads or pop-up window ads.
You really need to scan using anti-virus. Tell me what name of the software and where did you download it.
