Adding a description to your own collectible

I bought an orange from the shop because it's my native fruit in New Leaf. I want to add a description to it to commemorate this, but it seems I can't to something I bought. What if I were to gift it to someone and then have them gift it back to me? The idea is that the gift giver could attach a description to the collectible.

My cherry's message "Fruit from the Tree of Might" is a reference to Dragon Ball, since my island is Dragon Ball themed. The orange is from my New Leaf town, which is Pokémon themed! Something like "The Fruit of (Pokémon League) Champions" but I'm not sure about that. What do you think?

I like it. I'd vote for either "The Fruit of Kanto Champions" or "The Fruit of Johto Champions". Or you could do another region of your preferred game like Sinnoh or something.

I'm especially partial to Sinnoh, Unova, and Alola... But Palette Town is a Kanto reference. I'd either do a Kanto one of the original one... Any way to combine the two?
