Acronyms

LML. It's so stupid. Just stick to "lol" if anything.

I have literally never heard of LML. I had to look it up.

Would that be used in a situation like this? "My friends all yelled in the mall and made everyone stare at us like we were crazy. LML."

I don't know what OTL means and I see it being used a lot on here. I also don't understand what bae means. What is thot? Is that an acronym? There are a lot more I can't think of right now.

Too many wacky internet kids these days.

OTL is meant to be an emoticon of someone on their hands and knees. See here, the avatar there sums it up pretty well I think.

Bae is just a term for boyfriend/girlfriend or whatever but I'm pretty sure it just meant "before anyone else". Either way it's dumb. As is thot but for that one I link you this.

That's my "good deed" for the day...and it's only 6:20am.

ROTFL, LOL, and LMAO. Nobody really does these things when they are typing/texting. Unless you're laughing out loud while rolling on the floor with your butt on fire, I don't see the point.

Haha, same.

Stuff like lol and lmao irritate me because they don't even mean anything anymore; "what did you eat today?" "Cereal lmao". Just why?

I hate texting people who say lol all the time

Me: Pick me up at 4
Them: Ok lol I've got to take a shower but then I'll head out haha
Me: Okay
Them: Lol ok I'm coming now
Me: Here are the directions
Them: Haha thanks I'll be there lol

WOW YOUR LIFE MUST BE SO HILARIOUS

I don't really mind acronyms; if people enjoy using them, so be it. I find the use of OTL or orz pretty stupid though, and that's something I only see on this forum. It's kinda overused, too. I guess it's just not my thing.

Bae can be a bit annoying when people use it seriously, I do admit sometimes I use it in relation to my favourite characters or something but it's mostly in a jokey tone! I also don't like it when people use "tbh" a lot, I'm not even sure why, I just don't like that one. Plus when I see people use it a lot of the time it's usually just to describe their edgy opinion so maybe I just relate it straight to that now. Lmao is another one that I dislike and I must admit I can be guilty of doing it sometimes. I really ought to stop but it's kind of weird to think how much "internet slang" I just subconsciously pick up from going onto different websites and forums.

What is swag an acronym for?
I thought it was something you're given at an event, like a gift bag.

Thank you for being here so I'm not old and confused alone.

What are some acronyms that annoy you? (like lmao, lol, yolo, etc)

The acronym that annoys me the most is yolo and bae //cringe

Bae is not an acronym.

yolo and bae

Bae is not an acronym.

Bae cringes me a lot ><

Bae is not an acronym.

I didn't know bae was an acronym. I really don't like lls. None of my friends use it thankfully.

Bae is not an acronym.

Daddy is not an acronym.

I don't like yolo or bae.

Bae is not an acronym.

i really hate yolo, bae, and kms/kys. the last two are just really insensitive.

Bae is not an acronym. What are kms/kys?

I don't like yolo, bae, or lol when it's used without meaning. It's really irritating to see someone say something online with 'lol' or 'lmao' sprinkled throughout and given no meaning. I admit I do it sometimes, but when you see 50 'lol's in a single paragraph, it draws the line for me...

Bae is not an acronym.

uhh lets see, ones like wow. just wow, derp, haha in a rude way, Idk, the yolo swag stuff, there's a bunch but I'm fine with lols and lmaos and emoji keyboard faces (y)

Derp is not an acronym. Haha is not an acronym.

I get annoyed by "bae"

Idgaf. It's just rude, especially when people only say that and nothing else...

idgaf. I had to.

Thought bae was just mostly used as some term for "boyfriend/girlfriend/significant other"

Either way derp is definitely not an acronym.
