What ACNL nostalgia do you have? it could be about friends visiting your town, villagers, club tortimer etc.

Quite a few of it actually since I've played the game since the beginning of 2015. I'll keep things short and simple here. One was always going to Tortimer island at night to catch beetles. Another was bringing my 3DS to school so I could play it during lunch and have my friends look at it then make inside jokes between us. Third was getting a couple of villagers through StreetPass. If I didn't bring my 3DS to school every day, I wouldn't have met Tangy or Kitt, who still lives in my town to this day. Speaking of StreetPass, I felt excited every time I got to see other people's homes on display. And lastly, playing the game late into the night almost up to 2 AM without my family knowing. I was such a rebel lol.

I still play ACNL to this day, but I miss how active the community was. 3DS is the only console I can play online on (And WII on its last year. My wifi wasn't compatible with DS, and I'm not paying for switch online), so it was my 1st experience with it. I loved visiting dream towns, looking thru blog sites to check new qr codes, the villager trading.....
Maybe is because how many people bought ACNH at once, but the community back when ACNL was new was a bit more drama-free/relaxed. I'm amazed by how creative people are with new horizons, but the ACNL times felt cozier (but maybe it also was because things like qr and dream suite were new and more exciting), I enjoyed it lots.

Outside online, I remember how my sister and I would trade katie back and forth between our towns to get all her furniture :p

loved when i used to visit my brother's town. he never played the game actively but i thought he had all the "cool" villagers like Tangy and Knox, he also had oranges while i had peaches. i also remember using the internet on my crappy kindle fire to try to find qr codes, this blog used to be my favorite. i miss being a dumb kid who was new to the series lol

First time I played acnl, it was gifted from an online friend and we took pics on our 3ds and went to the island and played the mini games. I lovedd new leaf so much I still have my town and I cherish it sooo much ; ; <3 this game has literally saved me from depression.

I think my fondest memory of playing NL was when I celebrated the countdown for New Year's Eve with my villagers for the first time. Another was when I went to the Club Tortimer island for the first time and I met someone who was tossing around bells for free that he got from hacks. Several people and I collected those bells and I used them to pay off my home loan LOL.

honestly, all of my memories from new leaf make me nostalgic, but the ones that i remember most fondly are all the giveaways and villager cycling i used to do. i gave away lots of items and villagers on here back in the day, and those memories make me happy. i especially loved villager cycling; none of my cycling towns were very popular, but i still loved doing it and was always so happy when i successfully found a villager a new home. :’)

i remember it got crazly active online when the amiibo update came out. Like woah it's crowded on the islands. I kinda miss the online to but it was never that fun because later on people just started disconnecting others and some stole stuff. And hackers preventing people to leave. So it was also a little sad. I'm sure ACNH has more friendly online but idk.

scrolling through acnl tumblr (specifically for qrs), the weird and hilarious community, and making my siblings mad because i would time travel religiously (we shared a cartridge for a small period of time before i got my own copy).
oh also streetpass- i always dreamed of the day i would fill up my happy home showcase. obviously that never happened lol
