ACNH Idea: Return of Copper and Booker

I know the island life is relaxing but I really would want the return of Copper and Booker, the two police dogs who have been in the first Animal Crossing game and been in it since. They functioned as a lost and found but we have the bin to it now so I have a new ideas and it can be any of these
- They can act as a storage unit so if you have max storage, you can ask them to store stuff ( so something like lost and found but backwards )
- Booker and Copper can actually help you do "orders" and these can let you command specific villagers and different options, like you can tell them the officers to have your villagers weed, maybe have a specific villager clean their house ( it boxes them not to move but to clean; you can do this on villagers to fix their home ), and maybe you can tell the officers to make sure villagers stay up later or wake up earlier.
- They can open up a gift shop with accessories our villagers have mainly the donuts like every morning you can come by and buy a donut and other stuff from them
- They can tell you the schedule of special NPCs so who is bond to come soon or when the next campsite villager will be ( maybe to add on, the day before they can have camper files so you can see who wants to be a camper and you can pay bells to cancel the campers visit ).

Maybe they can have a building near the docks like a ship or police boat.

I'm gonna make this a poll so feel free to talk about your favorite of these sets of ideas. I would love to hear your thoughts on having Copper and Booker be on the island.

To be honest, I'm not a fan of them and they sound kind of pointless to me. There's never any crime in the AC world. Except maybe Redd but I wouldn't want him to get in trouble.

None of these sound like they'd fit them (sorry) except maybe the donuts one, but it seems unlikely that we'd ever get a shop just for donuts. What I think could work is if they retired as cops and had more island-themed jobs like being life guards. You could have a life guard chair that you could build on a beach and they'd take turns sitting on it. Maybe they could sell items related to it and buy the trash you fish up.

Resetting villager homes would be interesting. Also, I love Copper and Booker but I don't think they really fit the theme of New Horizons tbh.

AND if villagers can poof stuff out of thin air, then how is that possible? Like their has to be a place and I thought the cops and donuts thing would make sense. It just makes me wanna cry more and smack my head on the wall as I watch them eat and just realize we will never get the same luxury but all we get arej ust sparklers and balloons, the trash one is useful and idk how the furniture would work but would be cool to add ocean stuff. Donuts are an example this game has to many items villagers have, I cant list them all m8. I am surprised I am a boomer for mentioning cops and donuts so i am the worst for that but I just wanna eat a popsicle on a bench and not watch my villagers you know, rub it in my face.

True due to the event but these NPCs can get changed. Like WHO ignores how Celeste has been in floor 2 and isn't crying that she is changed but I am getting roasted for making a change to how NPCs could work, sound familar?

That is true it is a tropical theme but art doesnt fit tropical now unless it's ocean art and such.

Like how does a fashion show fit a tropical theme

They can arrest Isabelle for harassment and you get the choice of which one takes over the daily briefings, including issued permits for all the peddlers and campers running around. No more unrequited stalker talk of disturbing sock fetishes and bad TV habits.

I'm not too sure if Nintendo would purposefully not include Copper and Booker simply because of recent conversations in some parts of the world, especially given that they are staples of the series. Though, that isn't to say that their role could be altered so that they're no longer explicitly cops - maybe they could be given a different role that still puts them in positions of authority.

Characters have changed roles throughout the series, and I agree that it's weird that there are cops when there's no crime in Animal Crossing. Except for Redd's fraud.

I personally miss having all the old NPCs around, and I would love to see Copper and Booker in a substantial capacity (not like Rover's cameo). Having them announce which NPCs are on the island and which NPCs are due to come would be really nice. Also, the lost and found box could always be 'moved' from town hall into their possession to give them another task - maybe you'd have to unlock this, and once you do you have the opportunity to buy additional items? Or maybe they reward good deeds, and you can unlock items for doing Nook Miles tasks that help others?

Oh yeah that would be so cool, like if a new owl runs it they sleep in the day so they can make sure you buy the items or something.

One idea I had for them (that will not happen) is one of them could patrol the art gallery of the museum as a security guard. For example, Cooper could take the day-watch and booker the night watch or vise versa.
