Sorry to hear about the burnout. Unlike HHP, you only have to decorate the Hotel Room once a day, so don't feel pressured to do the rooms constantly. Just take your time with the update and enjoy it.

No not much on the Switch 2 Edition but I can imagine the Switch 1 version is struggling.

I am on the Switch 1, and instead of ending the session with the minis button, I went to the home screen with the game still running.

I think the mermaid set is the only full furniture set returning from New Leaf, all of the others got downgraded.

I've also been having problems with this, eugh. I cleaned up my island a bit and that helped some, since I had a bunch of weeds and whatnot, but my island isn't fully decorated and doesn't use custom patterns - I think the game might be unplayable now if I did.

The Retro Consoles are a disappointment. Each console plays only one game, and you can’t change the software of the consoles.
It doesn’t surprise me that the Nintendo 64 and Gameboy Advance didn’t make the cut. Those two require the NSO expansion pack subscription, and their games are a lot longer and have more data.

Nintendo also hasn’t fixed the Early Bird and Night Owl Ordinances. When they brought them back in ACNH 2.0, they only added one hour, not three hours. This is a complete joke. I don’t know why Nintendo decided on one additional hour instead of three (or even two) additional hours, but if you can’t remodel Nook’s Cranny into the convenience store, just one hour doesn’t make it the true ordinance. I was hoping that Nintendo fixed that when 3.0 came out. Except that they didn’t.

You can't change it. It follows what is on the main island.

Yeah. My island is already lagging for the amount of stuff on the island (I have a Switch Lite). However, I have removed most now because I started to redecorate the island. But before than, whenever I go into the Hotel and exit from my pier it drops more than it usually is. Even with the new area I have put up it seems to happen whenever I leave the Hotel and that area isn't all that laggy (less furniture sitting there for now).
To fix it, I just go into another building and leave it.
