Hi all,

Now that my house is fully upgraded, I'm trying to start on the HHA theme challenges. I think the furniture I have most of (and the styles I tend to want for my house) lean towards rustic, harmonious and antique. I've checked a couple of places though (Thonky, the wiki and Moridb) and there is some contradictory information about what themes sets fall under.

The furniture I have most of is modern wood, alpine, ranch, exotic, blue and green. I'm also collecting all the houseplants and bonsais from TIY. Can anyone confirm what theme(s) these sets match?

Thank you! :)

I'm pretty sure moridb is correct. I don't trust the wiki because it's given me false info for the cafe guide. :/

Thanks! I'll stick with them. They do seem more complete than other places, too.

I wonder if some of it is items that have been in multiple games changing theme over time.

dont know about your specific issue, but i always found Liquefy's guides at gamefaqs.com to be the most accurate and complete re guides to ACNL.

Thonky is great ^^ Helped me right from the start since 2013

I won't trust wiki if I was you...

I used MoriDB for the Rustic Theme Challenge. I had the Green and Blue Furniture, Modern Set, Alpine Set, Cabana Set and a mix of both the Weeding Day Set and Fruit Set. I also had a bunch of plants and bonsai's. I passed with flying colors so I'm positive MoriDB is accurate for theme challenges.

Liquefy FAQS guide is very good. Also use MoriDB for the pictures.
For the Rustic Challenge I had Alpine, Cabana, Weeding, Cabin and the modern wooden set. Once I pass I removed the modern wooden set and replaced it with a full kitchen. Wished the game had a kitchen and bathroom for all themes.
All the plants are Rustic. Try and put all the cactus plants in the same room as a set.

Moridb is one of the most accurate ones I know of. There are a couple of miscellaneous items missing, and a couple of the pictures of items that are wrong, but I'm pretty sure the themes it gives are mostly accurate.

Never, ever trust the wikis since they cover multiple generations of the game, and some items change themes from one game to another.

Thonky and Liquefy are the best in my experience. Moridb is mostly accurate, but there are noticeable errors. Most other guides are hit or miss.

the errors i mostly noticed with moridb were that items were sometimes mis0identifed as to whether or not they were orderable or non-reorderable items.

i aced all the HHA challenges with the balloon set and other "toy" theme stuff or whatever balloon set was). sure, it made my house an eyesore for a while, but it was easy and cheap to gather the entire set and to get the challenges out of the way.

Yeah, I may have to give Toy Shop a go as I have (I think) the full balloon set, the full pirate set, the full egg set, and a bunch of fishing contest stuff which all counts. (Shame it is ugly as sin!)

I had started with rustic and only had 140,000 points as of this morning, so I've switched to harmonious to see if more of my stuff fits with that. (I have seen green, blue, ranch and alpine as both rustic and harmonious so I don't know which is right.) I'll see how my score is tomorrow and then decide which theme I want to try, and figure out which sets and random items I need to get rid of, temporarily. I think I've put most of the non-theme stuff in the basement now but there is still some in the upstairs, especially (HHA and post office rewards, 3 gold pieces, and my bears and jukebox which I love, but which don't match.)
