Accidentally deleted my game

So yesterday was a pretty bad day. I accidentally deleted my town on the way to work yesterday morning. When I found out that had happened I was pretty pissed off obviously. Surprisingly as the day went on I was handling it pretty well. But still, I feel so.. incomplete now? I worked really hard on my town and had alot of items, I had almost completed my museums fossil collection and the paintings. hmm well guess it was going to happen sooner or later :'(

How do you accidentally delete a town? Isn't there 3 or more warnings saying that you're about to delete a town? Sorry for your loss though.

I was trying to change some of the settings in-game like the time and date for example and I knew I wasn't looking at the screen, and I was clicking the A button really fast

I've done that before when I couldnt read the japanese and didn't realise I was deleting a town >,<

At least this time you can make your town extra perfect and have a fresh start

my town was getting towards perfect :'( only thing I would change is the villagers

Oh, well that sucks....I would be massively annoyed if that happened to my town I do a lot of plot resetting and I'm always massively paranoid about making sure I click on the alt character to delete, rather than my mayor. I guess accidents happen
On the positive side, you get a brand new town? There can be something quite exciting about starting over. I've been considering it lately, but I'm impatient so I would probably just rush through it again. But the idea of choosing a whole new layout to work with and experiencing new villagers. Take time choosing a new name. I'm sure people on these boards will be more than willing to help you with things you may have lost

Sorry for your loss, but... how? Just how? Even if you keep mashing the A button it will not delete the town (it annoys me every time I delete side characters after plot Redd that I actually have to pay attention instead of mashing A).

Sorry you lost your town , it can get busy and distracting on public transport during rush hour and accidents happen.

I know I've had my share of accidently deleting save files on games.. luckily I haven't done that on acnl yet!
But you can make your new town even better now this time and you can try out something new if you had a theme!
And I'm sure you can find the villagers you want again on the forums hopefully you get a new town thats just as good or better then your old one

aww that's just sad :C. i've never done it on acnl before but on others game i accidentlly delete another save file than the one that i wanted to delete x3. so i know the feeling. well good luck on getting your dreamies again!

i reset my game recently because my town was 2 years old and the game had stopped being fun for me. even though i'm happy with the new town, i really like going back and visiting my old town through the dream suite. maybe you can do that, even if it's bittersweet.

Goodness that must've been awful! I'd probably feel like rage-quitting for a few months until the new update's release..but hey, at least you can start anew without any hesitation! You have space for those new villagers! I'm so torn between restarting my town or letting go a few villagers to make space for the new..I'm so excited for the new update, but I love my current villagers and I doubt this new update will make way for more space.
