AARRRGH OMG I almost had a heart attack.

I dropped my DS on my tiled floor, but luckily the game was still running c: I don't know what I'd do if my save file corrupted T^T

Wow that is scary :o (you have animal crossing charms though :), I have a few, they are so cute).

Scariest experience for me was when I put my 3DS with the game running on the shelf plugged in to charge a bit and someone knocked it onto the floor. I thought it would corrupt for sure but everything was thankfully ok.
I had a similar incident happen to me. Left my 3DS to recharge and went on my laptop to kill some time. My two nephews were over my house and the younger one came in my room, seeing the 3DS lying on the table. Took my eyes off him for a second and then he knocked the 3DS off the table and scurried out of the room. He's sly for a 1 year old. :P

Luckily the 3DS didn't fall from a high place and it was kinda cushioned by the carpeted floor.

Although I do remember the times my Gameboy Color fell and somehow still managed to work. Now that I'm older, I try to be more careful with electronics.

Defenetely not.

I honestly would be worried more about the console than the cartridge if I were you, as something so small probably wasn't damaged as much as a 3DS would be.
Still, even 3DSs aren't THAT fragile, I know of people who've dropped it quite a few times and nothing bad happened.

Relax! Everything's fine ^_^

When I first got my original DS, you wouldn't believe how many times I dropped it. The top screen almost fell off (it stopped working too), and the L and R buttons were dented horribly.
Thank goodness that wasn't with my 3DS! Being older, I'm obviously much more careful now. ^u^

probably did not corrupt if you've played it already since the drop... but if you haven't it probably could have been corrupted if it was from about 3 feet from a hardwood floor, happened to me with an old game. Luckily, I just dropped the game card, not the whole DS, and the save file did get corrupted though. At least I don't play it all the time.

I just remembered another big scary time with my 3ds. I usually charge it on a tall table next to a couch. The wire goes between the legs of the table and around so that the 3ds rests on the tabletop. One time, I played the 3ds while it was charged fully, but I forgot to unplug it. When I shut off the system, I got up while holding it to put it on my coffee table (not the table I described earlier). However, the wire somehow snagged on the back corner of my couch, and the momentum from my getting up sent the 3ds shooting out of my hands and into a wall. It wasn't on at the time, but I was seriously worried it would never turn on again. :(
