A suggestion to reform TBT

Hello everyone, I believe that moderators should not be allowed to close threads unless they are not intelligent.
As an american citizen this conflicts with the First Amendment.
Some of the people on the site want to talk about controversial things and it is not happening even though there is some civilized conversation.
I think that instead people should be banned from specific threads so people can have nice conversation.
I hope everyone has a lovely evening.

All of my threads I post in Brewster's are 'controversial' but they're all closed because people just have to salt them down to the ocean floor, and for the silliest of reasons.

Why can't people be civil and have a human conversation.

Literally, when that last thread ended, it wasn't even about the original topic. It's getting irritating because I just want people's views and threads just end up closed because people on here don't know how not to argue over the internet. Like, it's the internet, take a chill pill.

i dont want to talk about video games sometimes, sometimes i want to talk about real world issues that are affecting the earth we live on

You don't even know what freedom of speech is, amazing. Specifically the first amendment.

The first amendment doesn't mean you can say whatever you want, it means the government can't punish you for saying stuff. Anybody else can do whatever they want to whatever you say though. That's not the government infringing upon anything, that's people responding to what you say.

I understand why you would do that, but if you shy away from those types of conversations, you will not be helping making the discussion more mature.
I am making a suggestion, maybe try it out once and if it ends up badly, I won't blame you if you shy away from those types of conversations.

I understand that this is mainly for animal crossing; however, some people have acquaintances on this site they would like to talk to and this kind of talk needs to happen in society to make everyone aware of the situation.
