A question about Mannequins

Why can't they be dropped on the ground? I think I might have lost my 4th on the beach because I have so many buried items there, and I need a few more, at least probably one. And they can't be dropped, even if there aren't any clothes on it.

You can not bury one...

Not sure how you would lose it since you can't drop it/bury it. I think you can have a max of 4, too.

You must of stored it somewhere odd, like your mail or somewhat. Maybe its wrapped? Is it even possible to wrap it? lol I don't think, but you never know.

mannequin cannot be dropped or sold. duh.
you probably lost it in your storage, museum, or letters.

That's odd. Maybe the game just ate it. That's happened to me once with a silver shovel. Once second it was in my inventory, the next it was just gone.

I did check all of those places, but no mannequin.

You can literally only put it in storage.
You can't sell it. You can't put it in your letters. You can't drop it on the ground. The only thing you can do is put it in your house and hold it in your inventory or closet.
That's it.

It shouldn't be too far.

This might seem obvious but... maybe it's in your house? That's happened to me a couple of times. I was looking for items and they turned out to be hidden behind other items in my house or among the junk I'd temporarily stored in one of my rooms.
