What exactly is 'cycling'? I've heard of it but don't really get it. All I know is it's something to do with villagers. If anyone would explain that'd be very helpful.
okay, so, most people have this town where you time travel 5 days foward, constantly. the point of this is to get villagers to move in/out, and its a pretty simple thing. im too lazy to be like lil miss cycle rn
not necessarily 5 days forward nor constant.
a cycle town is basically when you 'cycle' or rotate through villagers. you get them to ping and move and some people sell them or give them away or most likely keep them for their own towns. it's just a lot easier to find 'dreamies' this way so that you don't end up accidentally TTing your favourite villager away. cycle towns also help with getting weeds and you can experience the game in different seasons much faster as you are time traveling.
hope this helps or is correct, i'm not a time traveler nor a cycler but i've heard quite a bit about it from the forums.

I don't recommend doing that. If you're going to cycle the best thing to do would be the 2y5d method which is TTing a year, then a year again, and then five days.

Personally, I cycle 2 days per just to see if there are any rumours/pings. Sure, it's more tedious but if you want to keep villagers then this is the easiest way.
