Óhana — Representative
August 16 is the birthday for both my “New Horizons” representative, Candy, and myself.
I started today’s game, with playing the main human, at about 01:45 p.m. ET.
My islanders are (in seniority order): Teddy (starter); Octavian; Molly; Marshal; Stitches; Plucky; Cookie; Melba; Dom; and Audie.
Greeting me for my birthday was Marshal.
I suspected either he or Molly because of a sense of our bonds.
Then, at the party, I made the mistake of drifting leftward to the exit—and that ended the party. (It is my Switch controller. Original has been played since 2017.)
I did not want the party to end.
So, I stopped the game.
With starting back up again, the islander who greeted me was Molly.
As of 02:30 p.m. ET, the party is still going.
In both cases, the two parties had the same trio of islanders: Marshal, Molly, and Teddy.
(The second round made me suffer a net loss in cupcakes. The piñata was, perhaps, better hit in Round #01. I went from eight to six. But, that is fine.)
Since “Animal Crossing: New Horizons” was released March 20, 2020, plenty of people had their birthdays between that date and August 15.
My question: Is there a definite connection, like in “New Leaf,” for which islanders will likely be there for a game’s human to give him or her a birthday party?
