A Neighborhood of Villagers or Spread out Villagers?

I have had them right next to each other, on both sides of the island and I find them everywhere so I didn't notice if they only stayed on their side. I see them right outside my door multiple times too.

This time I have them a little more spread out... Still on both sides of the island more towards the back but not right next to each other like before. I find them still everywhere too. Most of them are always by my airport entrance, right in front of the Plaza. They walk and sit around there a lot! I mean, a lot. 😂

I like the idea of spreading out my villagers as it gives me more inspiration of what and where I want things to be/look like.

I put most of them together. I didn’t have enough room to put them all in the same place so a few others are placed near but not together. I personally like them close together so it’s easier to get to each house and it looks organized. Plus I need my other room for my fruit farms and stuff.
Man I just realized I’m gonna need to make a vegetable farm when I return to Animal Crossing New Horizons.

My island has to small neighborhoods. One has six villager homes and the other has four. Ten grouped together seems a bit too much for me.

That pond is quite epic 😂
Thanks! My island was originally supposed to be fitness-themed. But I scrapped the idea because majority of the villagers I want for my island are either lazy or cranky. I kept the shape of the pond because it's also based on my flag and my island's name, which is "Flexmont".

I like to have my villagers' homes scattered around the island. It feels more natural that way, imo. But I can't say I haven't considered changing the layout of my island again, and one of the reasons was exactly that. I thought about making a small village (or two!) with their houses - and mine.
