I took a few pictures of spots on my island yesterday and thought I'd share them. Most of the place is still in shambles, but these areas are (beginning) to come together.

My house, which sits up on a top cliff in the northwest corner of the island. I actually picked the site from the maps the Nooklings showed before landing. :) The waterfall and large pool were there already, but I made the 2nd one and connected it so it didn't look out of place. I really like the way that turned out.

I like the combination of the brick and country fence, but I'm not totally in love with the wood path. I might switch to one of the dirt ones. The part that goes down leads to the airport, the blank space is for Nook's Cranny. They were there, but pushed back. When I tried to move them with the kit, there was overlap, so I had to toss them way over to the left and redo the kit. Because, bells. :cautious: Anyway, they're moved in now. Able Sisters will go to the left of them.

On the other side of Resident Services, I'm working on an open park area, although if we get the cafe, I will probably put that over there. The museum is on the right, pushed back into the bend of the river (it runs behind this "business area"), and villagers are living on the other side of the river.

I like the brick and country fence together, too! I think you're right that a dirt path will look nicer with that combination though.

Thank you. I like the wood, but I think it may be a bit too formal for what I'm going for. I'll try out the dirt options.

The wooden incline leading up to your house looks great! <3

Have you bought the darker dirt path with your Nook Miles yet? I'd give it a go to see what it looks like in place of the wooden path. The default dirt may look nice too tbh.

Mairmalade, thank you! I love the wooden stairs. I plan to use them wherever I need inclines.

I do have both dirt paths. I'll try swapping the dark one out tomorrow. It's tough to get a read on it at night. I might take the bottom fence down and narrow the path to 2 tiles, rather than 3, as well. At least it's easy enough to change out.

That really looks beautiful, what you have so far!

I love the blend of the country fence and the brick in the corners.

I didn't get a picture, but I swapped in the dark dirt path and I like it much better. Thanks to all for the feedback!
