I'm surprised that my birth year (1989) is present here. Since some people online like to pretend that my year doesn't know anything until 2009.
Not kidding look it up.

But I do remember a lot of this,

I technically grew up in three decades. I am old enough to remember parts of the 80s as 89 is when I started preschool, then I grew up during the entire decade of the 90s just being a kid and became a teenager in 98 and was a teen in the early 2000s. It’s a really weird situation to place exactly when I grew up.

I was born in 1996. I had those Barney slippers, watched VHS tapes, and met Arthur at Walmart (a dude in an Arthur costume, but yeah ).

I can understand this! I was born born in 78, so I remember a bunch of the 80's, but I will say that the 90's had the biggest impact on me as a teenager! Those are the years when you sort of find yourself, I think, and the 90's grunge music and super weird cartoons was a huge influence!
