So I recently went on a binge on the Island and brought back 40 red hibiscus starts. Now they're still sitting in my basket a few days later because I have no idea what to do with them in my town. I'm hesitant to plant them because then I can't move them. Any ideas?

I really like to put them on the sides of my paths so its like your walking through rows of flowers ( ^ω^ )

oh yeah just keep in mind you can't plant more than 12 in a row otherwise they don't grow and don't plant them directly by a house :3

Here's what I did with my bushes (these are White Azaleas) :)

"I went a little crazy and bought 40 hibiscus starts"

I'm almost sure this is not ever a problem in real life.

That being said, lining paths with them is cool. I also like to plant them as barriers- say, around things that I would very much not like my villagers stepping on. Or, me stepping on, really. Hybrids and stuff. Make natural little paths. Direct the flow of 'traffic', so to speak.

You could make a temporary path pattern with "bush" written on it & plan it out before you plant the bushes. I like to go bush x flower x bush to make the bushes run farther c:

Or as one person pointed out in another topic, the bushes are great for absorbing your rebound when hitting the 'money' rock.

I throw all of my bush starts in a museum room (or more than one room). I don't buy any more unless I've used and am missing some in that room. That way, if I get a big idea for bushes, I've got a lot on hand and out of the way.

TC said:I'm hesitant to plant them because then I can't move them. - I thought you could just dig them up with the shovel?
I've yet to plant any in town, eventually I will on path corners (so I don't veer off).
I like the ideas posted here of using them as barriers & behind rocks to absorb the rebound.

Using them to line paths is a good idea, like other people suggested. :) Or using them to section parts of your town, like a park.

(if you really don't have a use for them, I'll buy/trade a few from you as really need hibiscus atm)

This is what I have done. It also makes it easy to spot the "gem" rock because it won't have the 3 bushes.
