Even if it does, it wouldn't be enough with all the DSware and such. Maybe for 1-2 games.Tyeforce said:Why is everyone jumping to the assumption that it would be SD card only? The 3DS is supposed to have a much larger internal memory than the DSi.
Yea.. Unless they do some cool weird thing.Jas0n said:Even if it does, it wouldn't be enough with all the DSware and such. And illegal. >_>Ciaran said:R4 has the same effect, but that way games are free.
Oh. Well, thanks--I didn't look at it like that.OddCrazyMe said:1 DS cartridge holds up to 4 gigabits of data max. That means the largest DS game takes up about 512 MB.Tortimer said:I took SD cards into account, but enjoy having to keep 10 laying around. Really.//RUN.exe said:they're called SD cards. maybe you've heard of them.Tortimer said:It'd be great, but I don't know how efficient it'd be for those of us who buy tons of games.
They'd have to sell hard drives or something, which could make a lot of money actually.
Software install would not work for a handheld like the 3DS I don't think.
So let's say that you have a 16 GB SD card. That's 16384 MB, which means there can be 32 larges games on one SD card. So unless you have 32 really large games, I wouldn't complain to much.
And there's your math lesson for the day, kids.
It isn't like you are really gonna have all of them on there, I think it is so you could have an extra 2 or 3 games without having to get a case.Bulerias said:Why are we talking about how much space DS games take up? The highest capacity for 3DS cards will initially be 2 gigabytes...more than a Gamecube disk could hold. A 16 gigabyte SD card will be able to hold 8 games at most.
Yeah, but then what's the point of setting up a system to install games? We're talking games tied to an account, or a console, etc... a waste of time if it's just gonna be for a couple of games. Perhaps Nintendo will have a 32+ gig hard drive on the thing...Nevermore said:It isn't like you are really gonna have all of them on there, I think it is so you could have an extra 2 or 3 games without having to get a case.Bulerias said:Why are we talking about how much space DS games take up? I am gonna guess they will sell different sized models, because I will buy the lowest memory one and just carry a little game case.Bulerias said:Yeah, but then what's the point of setting up a system to install games?
