I hope I'm in the right forum for this...
So, has anyone else accidentally ejected their game cartridge picking up or moving their 3ds?
The first time it happened to me was when I was on the island in AC:NL...lost about 5 golden stags and a bunch of other beetles cause someone thought it'd be a good idea not to let players save while on the island (I usually save my game before I close the 3ds).
Second time was with AC:NL again, but I had saved recently and the only thing I lost was four patterns I put down on the ground (thankfully).
Still, I find the design terrible. I've been playing handhelds since the gameboy (though, the gameboy pocket was my first handheld), and the cartridge was designed to be put in and it stayed in. None of the "press on it and it ejects" stuff; you pushed it in and pulled it out.
I really prefer that method, because there was no way to accidentally have the cartridge pop out on you. Even if you dropped the thing, that game cartridge stayed put.
I'm starting to lean towards downloading games from the eShop to prevent this from happening, but I'm sort of a bargain hunter...if I find the hard copy of a game at a cheaper price, I'll prolly get that.
It is annoying that there's no cover or anything. If they had designed it with a cover like the SD card has, then there would be no issue. Granted, I need to be careful where I grab my 3ds, but it really shouldn't pop out so easily. >.>
